Juniper Gulch Trailhead reviews
5This is a great hike in the Leslie Gulch area. To get there you have to drive approx 18 miles on a bumpy dirt road. But, it is so worth it. The Juniper trail is easy and is out and back. It's stunning with so many unique rock formations. The trail is well marked from the road and a small area for parking is provided. Be sure to check the weather. It may not be safe if it has been raining.
One of the most breath taking places I've witnessed in a long time. Majestic! Just beautiful!
Juniper Gulch Trailhead / Leslie Gulch was an awesome experience. I'd highly recommend anyone go check this place out. There's great hikes, it's a really cool drive from 95 into the Leslie Gulch area, and the road is well maintained (a few washout spots here and there but nothing to be concerned with). There is minimal shade outside of your relative closeness to a rock wall and the suns angle. I can see this area getting very hot in the summer, bring more water than you think. So much to do!
This area is nothing short of an adventure. Make sure you drive a vehicle with 4WD and good tires, especially in late winter/early spring. It is a bumpy road and can be muddy. Juniper gulch hike is unique and gorgeous. Plan for an intense uphill at the end. A perfect hike for kids of all age.
Nice trail, seems well maintained and not overgrown. No other hikers when I went.
