Kentucky Falls Trailhead reviews
9Loved it. Beautiful view, and a short walk to the waterfall. We went with our dogs and they loved it too
We never got to see it.
The map said take a certain road to get to the trailhead.
The road didn't go through.
If it was just me I could see making a mistake. But while we were trying to figure it out three more cars came back looking for it too.
Probably was beautiful if we could have found it.
Beautiful hike through beautiful lush forest to the sweet falls.the hike in is down, pretty easy, the hike out is UP ~750 ft elevaton gain and just take it easy, one foot in front of the other! Totally worth it hike
A beautiful hike. Started at the top, the talk Kentucky falls trailhead. You walk downhill just over 2 mi to the bottom to the Kentucky falls lower falls and I think it is Sweet Creek falls. I'm not sure on the name of the second large falls at the bottom. So you get to see a total of three waterfalls. You could spend a long time taking pictures and playing in the water. Just remember you have to go back and the hike back is uphill! The drive to get there isn't that bad but maps for some reason takes you to a dead end and the roads can be a little confusing. The logging roads take a minute to navigate. Definitely a beautiful and worthwhile place to visit
Marvelous falls. The hike into see them is moderately challenging. Don't trust GPS to get you there. Take a map.
The map is wrong. Go to all trails to find the right directions to get to the trail but the falls themselves are gorgeous. It's not a strenuous hike and great for dogs.
One of the best hikes I have ever been on. The waterfalls are beautiful but I've been all over Oregon and Washington hunting for old growth forests and this is one of the most majestic I've ever experienced. The hike itself is also one of the most well graded and maintained I have hiked in Oregon, it covers a lot of ground but at no point did I feel like it was too steep or dangerous (given I'm a fairly experienced hiker).
The drive to the trailhead was a little confusing, I used the directions on alltrails and they were spot on. I had navigation up too and it diverted from the recommended path multiple times so I can't speak to the state of those roads. There were some potholes near the end of the drive but I don't think high clearance or 4wd would be required to get there with some careful driving.
Nice 2+ mile hike with 3 great waterfalls to view. It is easy for a 10+ year old to navigate the rocks and get up close to any of the falls.
You feel like Google navigation is leading you on a wild goose chase for a while, but have faith you will get there.
There are a couple of very steep switch-backs that will test your endurancewhen you come back out. Bring water, you will want it.
