Cool place in the middle of the forest. Lots of outdoor seating. Wasn't sure where the main entrance was but that's the fun part. Kitchen is on the backside where you order and pickup food. Drinks are indoors. Super cute. Variety was nice.

This place is beyond amazing. Food is fantastic, cocktails are fresh and fun. Indoor seating and gift shop is the cutest and the outdoor seating area is beautiful and relaxing.

Great eating place on the way to timberline lodge. This place has a very cozy ambience and a number things to buy if u are visiting portland for first time. Tried their veggie roll and hot chocolate which was okay.

Good tasting food that isn't 'mountain food'. We like the pan-asian spin on things and they have a great tea selection as well as an amazing selection of drinks & sake. Not so much into beer, but I hear the beer selection is great

We were only in town for 2 days and drove by this place a couple of times. Finally decided to check it out on the last day and it was worth the trip! We were in line with some frequent diners and they recommended a couple of dishes. Got some fried rice with tofu and potstickers. (The spicy sauce was on point!)

If you happen to be there, I guess it would do. Not worth the travel. I find the high ratings misleading.

After many trips up the mountain, we finally stopped at Koya kitchen & I am kicking myself now that we didn't stop sooner! This place was AMAZING! It is a small, little restaurant (only a few tables) & you order outside at the food cart & then can sit inside where the bar is. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and the food was to die for! Between my husband and I, we tried the yakisoba noodles, ramen, & a tempura battered avocado. All of the food items were delicious & I want to drive back up there just to order more. The drink menu at the bar is fun & has a variety of options to choose from (like the yummy plum wine mule cocktail I tried)! We will definitely be back & I look forward to trying the sushi next time as well.

Love this spot! Excellent noodles and drinks across the board, but the Udon Soup is my go to!

This place is called fusion Japanese food house, but I don't think the basics are so well equipped to be called Japanese food.
The person who runs the food truck and the person who runs the bar were like different places, and the outdoor garden table was very good, but the Japanese beer draft beer was probably in a bad condition because of low turnover, so I changed it to local beer and the food was not good. Everyone feels different things, but as a person who has been exposed to Japanese food for a long time, it was less than expected. The bar operated with the gift shop was very cozy and the garden table was great.
I don't recommend it to people who have often encountered Japanese food.
Other than that, I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy simple fusion food and drinks.

Really good food in Welches Oregon! Great fresh ingredients and ambiance at Koya Kitchen, the staff are really friendly and the eating space has many nooks and crannies in which to eat and spend sometime soaking up the pleasant scenery. I would recommend this excellent dining experience to friends and family!

Best spot to stop in the Hood area. Really unique and cute seating options, inside and especially outside.

Japanese food tastes ok. Love atmosphere, staffs and the drinks. I would come back again if we are nearby. One thing that I would recommend, idk what they can do. Customers across us was laying down and put feet up on the chair, pointing to my table. Kind of disturbing my moods.

We have been coming to Koya for years and really appreciate their tasty food and lovely outdoor seating area. The indoor shop, bar and sit-down area is cozy and fun to just stop by and shop around. I love their sake, hibiscus tea and CBD soda. It's a wonderful place to try different staples and they have a nice rotating specials menu (from pad thai to curry and more!). Our favorites are the Domburi bowl and sushi.

Food here is great, vibe is heavenly. Pretty much the only healthy food in the Mount Hood area. Also great for vegan and vegetarians.

The tuna roll was phenomenal, such fresh tuna for our area. Melts in your mouth. The cucumber salad I'll be honest didn't like, I'm used to cucumber chunks in the yummy sour vinegar, this was shredded cucumber. The asparagus roll also top notch

Koya has been me and my friends GO-TO after a day of snowboarding on Mt. Hood. Out of all the cozy places around, this one takes the cake. Friendly staff that will greet you inside with a big pot of tea for the table after you’ve ordered out by the cart. Beautiful outdoor dining area if the weather permits. Cool gift shop with lots of cute things you can possibly buy.bonus points for being FILLED with plants on the inside.
The food is always so good as well. There’s so much going on here I almost forgot to mention it! Whether i order curry, sushi, noodles, poke, soup, asian fries or other of their many options, it’s always been fantastic and worth the price. They could definitely be charging more for the quality and location.
