Lake Selmac Park reviews
15A beautiful lake for bass and trout fishing. There are also hiking trails, picnic areas, shelters, facilities, campgrounds, yurts, a playground, and even a general store on the way in. The perfect place for a picnic. Parking is $5.00 per car.
Pretty nice campsite. Full hookups at a good price. Lake wasn't something I'd swim in, but was pretty too look at. There were a few people there just to toke up, and a few people just fishing. Camp host were super friendly.
Friendly helpful camp host. Reasonable rates. Well kept, clean campground. Beautiful lake. Lots of wildlife. Stay on the roads and paths though, there is poison oak everywhere.
The gem of Josephine county. This is a fantastic place for outdoor activities. Fishing, hiking and disc golf. Great camping sites and beautiful scenery a country store and multiple playgrounds and parks.
Nice quiet park. The prices are absolutely fantastic. Very friendly Camp Host. The lake itself is not a swimming lake. There have been people out fishing though.
Stayed there 2 nights without making reservations. The lake had algae so no good for swimming, even for our dog. I heard it is popular with the locals so weekdays are likely much quieter than weekends. Beware, some dodgy folks are about.even the locals say they don't walk at night.
Memorial Weekend 2021. Alot of Action and fun all around. Fishing been perfect. Weathers amazing. Happy Anniversary to us.
Tried to buy annual day pass online. No luck. The Ladies working there got me my pass, gave me information to make useing a better experience, and did it all smiling. Wonderful experience.thank you!
It is a small lake in a beautiful wooded valley but there is a STRONG DRUG vibe. Watch your stuff. Meth heads fighting. Fragrant Oregon marijane on the wind. Shallow lake.
Scantless, slandering gossips.
If you keep throughing $ at them they're the nicest people to meet.
They talked me into buying a year pass rather than pay $5 a day, after 6 days total use they continually harassed me about using there park to much even calling police and had me trespassed with there many lies. NEVER AGAIN!
THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER BIUTIFULL PLACES TO VISIT.
P. S. LAKE ALSO IS POLLUTED WITH MERCURY OR SOME SORT OF POISON so beware about the fish you eat out of selmac lake. DONT TRUST THEM PEOPLE
Lots of campgrounds around lake. Small walking trail. Picnic area covered with small playground. View of lake. Quiet.
Great place to camp beautiful lake trees peace. Restrooms showers camp sites an you can even make reservations
Stayed here over the weekend in two yurts. Both were cleaner than I personally expected. The hosts were awesome, they take really good care of their guests. They even deliver fireword to your campsite if wanted. The stars are phenomenal with easy access to close by rivers with beautiful swimming holes. The lake is not much of a swimming lake this time of year, but the fishing is wonderful for children, the fish are highly active and provide excitement for beginners. My only complaint is there might be a large wasp nest somewhere near the camp grounds, cause at around noon or so they are atrocious but nothing one who loves nature can't handle. All in all I will be visiting again.
The day use fee is very enforced at unmarked parking. It was nice and quiet there from noon to 3: 30. The wind off the lake was nice. It was clean, but not too manicured. I personally don't like parks that are no longer wild. In the few hours I was there, I saw the host on a golf cart, a white parks truck and a sherriff's car a minimum of 3x each, hourly rounds might be a bit excessive.
We had a beautiful time staying in one of their yurts. The grounds were beautiful, the camp hosts were super nice. The lake was good, some parts are a little more fishy cause it is a fishing lake but all in all, it's a fantastic place to go. I'd actually give it 4.5 stars if I could.
