Make sure you use the correct access route. We didn't and literally fell down the hill into the water with all of our stuff

The river was super peaceful (8/6/23), with an almost imperceptible current. There were a few widely scattered paddlers. Everyone was cheerful and polite. As others have mentioned, there is a bit of a walk to get to the drop-in and it wasn’t smooth getting the paddle board in the water. But it was manageable without too much trouble. Very worth it.
