Luis's Taqueria reviews
16We were in the mood for authentic Mexican tacos. We were very disappointed. Tortillas were large, no cebollitas o chiles dorados. Meat was dry and tough. The young man taking our order seemed like he did not want to be there. Left con el antojo for real tacos.
The food was fantastic, all the sauces on the meals and salsas were very good. The chili Rellano is a must try. The service was friendly, we all found close parking, and the place is colorful and fun. Definitely will return.
I wasn't sure what to expect when we picked the highest rated mexican restaurant in tiny Woodburn, but I am NOT kidding when I say that they have the BEST carnitas tacos I have EVER tasted. So so so good! And
I have been eating mexican food all of my life. The sauce is delicious too and has a very real kick and I loved it!
I used to work at the Woodburn school and I would come to the Taqueria for lunch twice a week. THE BEST TACOS I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. And now that I live in Carolina I remembered and I'm going to try to make them at home.wish me luck!
Consistent and delicious. Fresh and tasty. I've tried most of everything on the menu, never disappointed.
Chimichanga was amazing, the sauce is out of this world. If I wouldn’t have looked like a nutter I may have licked the the plate clean. Definitely heading back to try more of the goodness they offer.
Something can be said about "hole in the walls". I'm still giving them a 5 for atmosphere because the place is CLEAN! I'm a native Texan, been in the PNW for just over 30 years. When I tasted the rice, tears welled up in my eyes. I hadn't tasted that authenticity in years! Everything was authentic from the sauces to the fish in the fish tacos.yep, not frozen Gorton's. We a la carted several things, enchiladas, tamles, birria tacos and EVERYTHING was delicious! Unfortunately for me, I live 2.5 hours away, but I understand why President Obama went there, the best authentic Mexican food, eva'! The pic doesn't do justice, 1 snap and back to grub! I'll be back!
Tacos are very good, good quality of food for a reasonable price. Getting your food might be slow, always a good 15-20 min wait not at peak time
The nachos are AMAZING, and it was less than $10! If I lived closer this would be a weekly eatery. This was a Very clean restaurant, the staff wore gloves and immediately cleaned the tables after customers left.
We came on 6/10/23 and looked forward to coming since we've been here several times. Unfortunately, this time the teen that took our order messed up our order. My mother in law ordered a plate of enchiladas but they never came. My wife's plate was cold so was my burrito. The manager (some lady) did not come to fix the situation she only argued with us and making excuses why the food was cold. This was a horrible experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
I love this place. Very authentic Mexican Food. Everything we have tried was good. We had Torta especial, sopes y tacos de carnitas. Aguas de Jamaica y de Tamarindo. Even on a weekday they have a line but they serve the food fast. If you're in the area you must go to Luis.
I ordered a burrito with NO ONIONS because I cannot have any and by the time had a couple bites it had onions! Then I couldn’t even get my money back so i couldn’t eat it. Then go top it off the rice tastes like they poured the whole garlic season on the rice. Way to much garlic over powers the rest of the flavors. Definitely not coming back.
Love this place. Everything is good and freshly made. I have been going here forever will always go back.
Came with my family and ordered wayyyy too much food (that we somehow finished).
Loved the pastor and barbacoa tacos - will order again.
My child’s chicken quesadilla was delicious
Menudo was okay - I’d prefer it super hot.
My parents were not a fan of their carne asada crunchy tacos - they said the meat was dry and flavorless.
Child enjoyed watching trains go by as we sat by the window.
Recommended. Will go again.
Really amazing Mexican food! Best chimichanga that I’ve ever had! The sauce was a creamy pepper sauce that was vaguely like paprikas. Flatas we’re full of chunks of chicken, they didn’t skimp at all!
