Cocktail Bar LULU reviews
15The food was phenomenal, the drinks were amazing, the service was excellent, and the vibe was incredible. We had an amazing time. Rob was the bartender and he was so knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.
Lovely cocktail bar. Food was tasty but some of the choices were a little weird and I found it expensive. Solid bar food, but I wouldn’t come here just to eat I think. The cocktails are definitely the reason to go! Ambiance is excellent, drinks are excellent. I’m doing dry January, and the bartender made me an awesome mocktail off-menu. Lovely people and such a cute place on a weekday. Absolutely empty on a Wednesday when I went, which is funny because I know this place is busy on a weekend!
They easily made the Peruvian fries dairy free for me and my friend, really adaptable menu within reason it seems like.
Peruvian fries were good but super messy. Fresh rolls were OK but I think they could have used some brightness and they fell apart when you tried to pick them up, super tasty sauces though. Ceviche was odd, flavors were yummy but it had fried calamari in it which didn’t make sense to me. Instead of dinner I’ll come here for snacks so just one plate or desert I think.
It was my first time at Lulus the other day. I immediately adored the scenery and vibe — super cute, the perfect amount of lighting, adorable seating. I had the rib eye curry special and it was absolutely PERFECT in every way. I love when a bar can actually pull off not just good food — but Brilliant food. Wish this one wasn’t just a special Will be back to try the smash burger and wings. The bartender was lovely as well, great service the entire time.
Rob and Josh are great. They have a way with conversation as they make my favorite cocktail in Portland. The Hemingway, mmmm OMG. You want to go there! Nice ambiance
I went for a company happy hour with 8 other people. We arrived right as the bar opened and there was no wait. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. Food was great, but only a few of the dishes were real highlights for me. Service was top notch.
Great drinks, food and atmosphere. Peruvian fries were yummy. Staff was friendly and warm and accommodating.
Update: second visit, food still amazing. They have a. Fun Photo Booth for pictures that we tried this time. We stayed later to check out the Dj session. It’s a chill vibe with a disco ball lit up.
Eating food is an interesting experience with very limited candlelight
I love this place. Always positive vibes and energetic atmosphere. Will go again. Thanks Lulu
Everything from the food, drinks and atmosphere is on point! Appreciate the gluten free options also! If you’re not into a late night crowd, go earlier the vibes are equally awesome and you’ll get a prime bar seat.
I’ve been to lulus a multitude of times and every time the staff is extremely knowledgeable about the cocktails, provide an awesome atmosphere that is rare in PDX, and have awesomely executed food.
Fantastic drinks! Lulu had some excellent cocktails and the bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful: tasteful decor, soft lighting, good playlist.
Go for the drinks.
Lulu is a place that my friends and I frequent on late nights, the vibes are immaculate and the drinks can be pricey but they are tasty and strong. On weekends the relaxing, perfect for a date night bar becomes lively and popping. The DJs are always on point and the disco ball sets the mood. I recently stopped by for margarita week and was made a delicious kiwi margarita. I definitely recommend this spot for dates or a late night out with friends.
Atmosphere is pretty dope. And that's where it ends. Want a super-hip 20 year old to tell you how you should really be drinking? This is your place. Want to spend $4 more than you would for the same cocktail next door because you're buying "an experience"? This is your place. Ever wondered if being Roofied could make your Wednesday night more exciting? This is your place! Cheers and welcome to the New, New hipster lifestyle bro.
Alejandro was a delight and fantastic! The calamari was salty and the mezcal was smokey, but I'd come back just for the great service!
Superb! Beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. The ceviche was so delicious. I look forward to Wednesdays when they open for the week to have some.
Elegant cocktails and great service.
The bartenders knew their way around the amazing liquor options they have and were able to make me some of the best versions of my favorite drinks that I've ever had specifically Mexican martini and Oaxacan Old Fashioned. You guys let me have it!
