Mac's Automotive & Radiator Repair reviews
18Took my car here for an oil change, they said I needed my brakes done too, and my dad had been here before so we said sure. A day after getting my car back I had my traction and ABS lights coming on- took it in they ran a diagnostic and supposedly a sensor in my ABS system just went out, and of course supposedly unrelated to any work they did. The guy told me ‘if you have to drive it youre probably fine but this should get fixed soon’ then quoted me $2400 to fix the part, which he adamantly said getting a new part is what I need, i shouldnt take a chance on a used part. I left for work and came back about 2 hours later. The guy tells me he ordered a used part (? After telling me I shouldnt do that) and that I realllllllly shouldnt drive the car and that it makes him nervous (after telling me it was probably fine and just needed to get it fixed soon). Took my car to Les Schwab they said they couldnt fix it but that Mac’s more than likely messed this up in my car. Took it to Honda where they tell me that Mac’s also installed my brake pads on the wrong side of the clips. Bring it back to Mac’s, they tell me the brake pads are installed correctly and they have no idea what the DEALERSHIP is talking about. And as I leave the lot, my check engine light goes on. If I could put 0 stars I would. Dont go here, save yourself a massive headache.
Had my AC compressor replaced and serviced. Quick and great service. Definitely will recommend to friends and family for service.
Jim and his team at Mac’s, were great.
First experience with them. We were in the middle of a move, and the radiator when out. Had the car towed. Jim was able squeeze it in to their very busy schedule. Communicated thru out.
Will continue to have our car serviced with Mac’s
Excellent place to take your vehicle for any mechanical/electrical repair. Fair pricing and terrific work.
Max breeders did a great job diagnosing my air conditioning on my car or was very satisfied. They're also able to help me with radiator issues with a vintage car I have as well. Thanks
I am incredibly pleased with the work these guys did on my car. I turned on my AC for the first time since last summer and found that it wasn't working anymore. After doing some troubleshooting, I found that the problem was beyond my repair abilities and decided to take my car in for a diagnosis. They found a big leak on one of my AC lines, and what really impressed me was that they let me go around back to look at the issue myself. The pricing for the repair and recharge was a little high for my budget (~$450 in total, including the initial diagnosis), but I went forward with it. Their transparency and evident skill made me confident that they would get the job done right and with integrity. As a bonus, they quickly found the cause of a persistent oil leak that I have since repaired myself. My car has been blowing cold air like new for almost a week now. If I am in need of repairs in the future, this will be the first shop I call.
Jim at Macs was amazing! My family has been going here for years. I had never needed anything done until a very unfortunate incident happened with daughters car. Jim was willing to work with the other company who cause the damage to get payment. He was extremely transparent in his explanation of all repairs. Not to mention all the little extras he did to my daughters car. For example fixing the single light and tightening the license plate for her. Stuff like this shows he cares. Now I understand why my entire family trusts Macs!
Worse service ever they are scam I took my radiator to get it fixed they checked and said radiator is bad need to pay $47 for testing when i asked to get my radiator back they had guts to charged me and then said they toss my radiator they don't have it anymore -
Very expensive there were going to fix my husband old radar they changed 46 dollars for looking at it and then they wanted 1400 to fix the old one r friend went on line and we brought a new radar for less than 200
The staff at Mac's performed a miracle last summer by resurrecting a 2004 Hyundai to a 2022 super car. One of the pitfalls of car repair work is the poor communication between the manager and customer. With Mac's it's just the opposite. From the getgo Jim kept me informed about the costs and work time involved to restoring the "health" of my Elantra.
The parts warrantee was put to a test a month later and they took care of it immediately.
Ever hear the expression 'sweet guys" applied to auto mechanics?
Well, with the Mac's crew you can use it.
Great shop. The guys at the Beaverton, Oregon location were very helpful, honest, and explained everything well. I would highly recommend this shop.
The team at Beaverton got the job done efficiently. Very courteous knowlegable and pleasure to work with.
I loved them took a couple days longer due to wrong parts but it’s understandable and now my car is running like brand new. Very nice people and I would recommend and also go back next time. Talk to Jim
Mac's was able to get me in sooner, finding a used gas tank to replace the one that was drilled for gas.
My insurance company's repair shops were out till 2023. And there's the supply and demand issue.
Y.a. H.o. O at Mac's
Wonderful customer service, friendly staff, and they don’t try to spend all your money on things you don’t need, which is VERY rare I’ve come to find out. Jim is great and so knowledgeable - I am happy to know I can trust my vehicle in the hands of this shop!
Jim and Manuel were very helpful in explaining the work to be done and the estimated cost. They also were able to get my car in and repaired in a timely way.
Macs did some work on my 1999 Volvo S80. One item was replacing the power steering pump. It went bad after roughly 2000 miles. They put a new one in along with hoses and fluid at no cost to me. I was concerned there would be an issue but they took care of me and I will continue to use Macs for all my vehicles.
Amazing! They were the only people that really left me feeling good and not ripped off!
100% recommend
