My experience with him as an 'indep medical examiner' sent by my ins co to basically prove nothing is wrong with me so they don't have to pay my PIP from a car accident - well, I found him to be coercive and left me with a medical review that made me sound, basically, crazy as if I am making up all my symptoms. He poo-poo'd one of the best chiropractors in the NWest methods as completely un-relevant and in the end - I was crying b/c it feels bad that someone is trying to 'trick' you and basically on the side of the car ins co. Just all - a warning on this guy. IF he can be bought and sold by an insurance co, which results in people in pain not getting care they need - what kind of a doctor is he, really, anyway. First, do no harm just goes entirely out the window at that point.

THIS COST ME my PIP care, and it ended too early - resulting in continuing problems that eventually led to bigger medical issues.

He should be ashamed of what he does. He is hurting people's lives.

"First do no harm" is certainly not a motto for this Dr. He Works for the auto insurance companies and will twist and turn your words to fit their agenda. I can't imagine trying to see this Dr.as a primary care, and be very wary of any "independent" medical exam. I promise you, it is not independent.

If I could give this guy a zero I would. I was in a bad car accident and after 8 months of care and no relief my auto insurance company sent me to Dr. Mangum for an IME to cut me off from my benefits. He obviously knew who was lining his pockets. I was obviously surgical an he wrote off saying things such as he’s never seen symptoms like mine and I should have ended care after 6 weeks from the accident. His opinion put my family in a hardship position for several months. Eventually it was settled, benefits resumed and back pay was paid but this could have been avoided if Dr. Mangum abided by his oath and diagnosed me correctly instead of in favor towards who was paying him. He should have his medical license taken away. I ended up having a 2 disc replacement in my cervical spine that correlated with the symptoms I was having when I was examined by Dr. Mangum. He’s bad news everyone. If you’re involved in an accident and your insurance company sends you to him be prepared for a fight afterwards.

Lots of unfair reviews. Dr Mangum saw me through a ACL tear and problems with my asthma. It was tough love with the knee injury and might have kept me away from an opioid addiction. Some doctors might let you have your way but being an athletic person himself he got me to be strong and work my way through it. He's a good guy and I miss him as my regular care provider. Opioids are a problem in this country and at the time I wasn't happy with my debilitating knee pain. BUT I'm healthy and his genuine concern got me through back and knee injuries on multiple occasions. Father Time is undefeated but you don't need pills to fight him. It takes patience, resolve and a Doctor that won't lean back and just let pills "fix it". Best Primary Care Doctor ive had as an adult! He is missed!

This is one of the most unprofessional offices that I have ever dealt with. What a nightmare. The doctor is nice enough, but the idea of having to deal with his rude office staff is too much. Steer clear.
