Marys Peak Day Use reviews
16Its cold, its windy, and you cant see much but if you like a hike in the woods with a bit of snow walking through clouds then your might enjoy it as much as I did. I bet the view would be perfect if I came on the right day.
There is plenty of parking and it's not crowded this time of year. Only a few spots of snow right now but that could change quickly.
Walked up to the top from the lot, 30 to 40 min round trip. Beautiful views up and down the coast and valley.
Went up with some friends and we could see the whole mountain range from Three Sisters all the way to Mt St Helens, and well into the Pacific Ocean.
Fun road to the top on motorcycles and great view of the Willamette Valley over to the cascades.
I love this place! The views are incredible! When it's not foggy that is.but yeah it is awesome to come up here, only about an hour from my house, and it's fun to drive in the snow with my truck there.the drive is twisty and turny, and if it is snowy, I wouldn't suggest coming up here, unless you have a capable truck like I do. You know, four-wheel drive, large tires. But the awesome famous most of the spring summer and fall you can come up here just fine. You do have to hike up for like 15 minutes to get to the actual top, and see the best views, but it is hardly difficult. Any little kid can do it, it's just a grassy path. Sometimes with gravel. But be warned, sometimes it gets very windy up here.so if you were like me and like to fly a drone, look at the weather forecast first, and the wind will always be different up there anyway, so just be careful. On my last trip there, the wind was so strong, I got blown over. So watch for that wind.
The commanding views from atop Mary's are breathless. Our recent foray to the summit rewarded us with a Snowy Christmas day adventure. The park has several trail options so that a variety of folks are able to enjoy the unobstructed view.
Always have fun hiking to the top of marys peak the park rangers are always pleasent and helpful the views are great and always meet the coolest people
If you go up this time the year make sure you dress warm beautiful clear views but at the same time very chilly.
When my young son and i arrived at the top, we were in the thickest part of the cloud that enclosed the Peak. Ethereal to say the least!
Great hiking trails. Such a beautiful sight from the top. Just be aware; the trail starts from the top, so you'll be going uphill to get back to the car.
It was awesome to see, a very twisty narrow road for almost ten miles going up but the view is amazing.
Is August, and Mary's peak is spectacular as always. The views are incredible and the trails remain kept very nicely. Make it to the top, you won't regret it.
I can't believe I've lived near Mary's Peak for so long and never gone! Hiked to the top and the views were stunning.
Love it in whatever weather. Today was sunny and not too warm. Lots of flowers! Vets park free with America the Beautiful pass.
Love it, short hike from the parking lot. Took 3 littles kids and they did great. Wonderful views.
