Didn’t know what to expect when I came in but left absolutely amazed and full. Food is fantastic and prices are very reasonable. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Just had the best experience at this family restaurant! Soup dumplings were so flavorful and the dumpling had a great texture.the jianbing was a new one for me and so tasty! The crunchy texture and red bean paste inside were so good. And the people working were very friendly and happy to provide recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

This spot is so good! Omg. Everything on the menu is legit and the service is great. You need to eat here. The prices are incredibly reasonable too

The staff can't be bothered to greet customers. Just straight to business, asking if you placed an order. I wouldn't eat here/recommend. Rude. RUDE. RUDE!

Let me start off by saying the food was really delicious. I tried the soup dumplings & they definitely did not disappoint. The peanut sauce was amazing also. I would eat the food here again if I ordered take out.

However, the customer service was not good at all. I would not come back to eat in the restaurant, I’d consider the customer service here the worst I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant.

All the sauces are made in house by the woman who runs the restaurant, UNREAL, super high quality dumplings & beef noodles, get the snow pea shoots/pods, if you’re looking for excellent food don’t look any further, you’ve found it, just plug it into your GPS rn. Do it.

Service is horrible. Not greeted unless you are white I guess. Extremely rude completely ignored us and we had to constantly ask for things as if they were doing them a favor. Was not impressed by the food either.

Definitely a nice place to have light lunch or breakfast. I really like their congee, or I call it porridge, definitely Cantonese style.
Didnt realizes this restaurant own by Cantonese, no wonder is taste like what I will like!

Decided to try something new and could not be happier with my decision. The service here was great, however what really shines is the food. Savory pork belly, delicious greens.pork buns steamed to perfection. The portions are LARGE so plenty to share. I was slightly embarrassed at the amount of food we ordered, however am very pleased that I'll have some Master Kong for lunch tomorrow Really such a pleasant laid-back atmosphere for dinner, will definitely be back!

Very authentic Chinese food in Portland and it is the best Chinese restaurant in Portland ever. Nothing Americanized at all.

I highly recommend steamed buns (狗不理包子), roast beef noodle soup with bok choy and marinated eggs, congees (seafood) and sesame cold noodle with assorted vegetables and egg as the top choices. The Jianbing (Chinese crisp) is also good one.

The beef and pork belly over rice dishes are considered as Chinese fast food but they are still very good and at least 250 billion times better than Panda Express.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you are a visitor in Portland and try the good Chinese food over there.

Wow!

Let me start by saying, I don't enjoy restaurants that pretend to be authentic.

But this one isn't pretending, the food was very well prepared and very non American style.

The portions were huge and the quality was great. Which is really nice, because you usually either get big portions or good quality, not both.

The meat sandwich on homemade bread was really tasty, the bread was HARD, but in a bahn mi way, so it still tasted great. The outside was really crunchy and the inside was soft because of the filling.

The cold chicken with clear noodles was very different, the noodles were kind of rubbery with a peanut sauce, and the teriyaki chicken was good with an authentic flavoring on it.
Next time I'd like to try the homemade wheat noodles.
Also if you're looking forward to alot of vegetables, there wasn't many, but had a lot of noodles, chicken and egg.

The pork buns were also very tasty, the meat ball inside was soft and lightly flavored.

Overall very happy with the meal. And definitely have left overs.

I had come here a couple years ago and it was delicious and full of happy diners. Things have changed a bit: food quality has declined, dine-in crowd was sparse, but the worst is that they now serve food in single-use plastic for “dine-in”! From an environmental perspective this is horrible and I cannot support this. Everything is served in plastic bowls with cheap plastic spoons for the soup. What is it with Chinese restaurant owners not caring about the environment? During my meal, their were three workers milling about with just a couple other tables occupied. Is it really that much more costly to serve on real dishwear and wash the dishes? Water/drinks are also served in cheap plastic single use cups. In addition, you have forced me to order on my phone and have removed the paper menus and the large wall menu. Overall dining experience has declined considerably over the past couple of years and I can’t support a restaurant that disregards it’s impact on the environment just to save a few pennies.

This is a hidden gem! If you love authentic Chinese cuisine then Master Kings is the place to go. This is our second time visiting and we love the food and service here. We all know the stereotypes about Chinese restaurant customer service, forget that, the staff here are friendly, helpful and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. And did I mention the food? Everything is good, just try it!

This is true authentic Chinese food! This isn’t your “Rainbow Dragon” or “Canton Grill”, this is food that you would get in regional China… buns amazing! Congee amazing! But the beef noodle soup with house made chili oil is spot on!

Great spot. The dumplings are incredible and I like the ambiance of the space - kind of fast casual but with a sit down vibe. Definitely get the meat folders.
