Maurie Jacobs Park reviews
14This place has become overrun with unhoused camping out and breaking into vehicles. Restroom is nasty.
Stay on the bike path & do not go down the trails that lead toward the river. There were used needles lying on the ground by the river Bank & garbage everywhere & not to mention broken glass in almost every place you walked that wasn't on the bike path. Then there's the issue of poison oak, which is everywhere along the riverbank. The City needs to clean this place up, but it's good for walking or biking on the path.
Grass is taken care of. Fairly clean but once in a while you get homeless that trash the place. Excellent place for families.
It's a fine park to enjoy being outside.
Maurie Jacobs offers lovely views of the river and, with its expansive turf is an ideal location for soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and other field games. The park is also a lovely spot for a picnic, with a small play area surrounded by a comfortable plaza and a scattering of picnic tables and benches, many of which are situated beneath the shade of large trees. Restrooms. Parking.
Nice park. Lots of ants in the summer so beware. Otherwise a very lovely place with lots of shade and nice path through
Thar she blows yet another all together Eugene thoroughly modern Millie big park along the riverrun.
This park has plenty of parking, shade and a pretty great kids play area. It is right on the river at the bridge to Valley River Center. There is also a full soccer field and a small calisthenics area.but watch out for goose poop!
Beautiful and nice shallow river area for children to safely splash and play in the river.
Plenty of room even on the busiest days. Except for parking. It can be awfully crowded as far as that goes. Easy to get to by bus, bike or on foot. Very beautiful and the water is great in the summer time.
Took some sunset pics from the bridge then found nice quiet space to check out my new cards and book. It was some peaceful solitude time.
A great place to hang out with friends and family, beautiful scenery. Stay away at nigh time though, some strange things go on at night.
Usually plenty of parking, clean, several picnic tabkes, also a great spot to connect to the walking/bike paved trail system.
Cool area for calisthenics, goose poop, right next to a weed shop, good ped bridges to smoke under, decent spot to go off trail and bone after dark.
I love Maurie Jacobs park, it's a relatively calm area with access to the valley river mall, and also the bike path along the Willamette river. One thing I would like to say though, There are public trash cans stationed at several places right in the park and they are very convenient, so if you visit here please clean up after your selfs! It's simple things like that, that keep a place like this as nice and peaceful as it is.:)
