Mazatlan Restaurant reviews
14Ate here yesterday. Got the Carne asada and it was not good at all. Later that night I started to feel bad and my stomach was starting to hurt. Then I started to throw up all night and I my stomach hurt really bad this went the whole night. Finally got to sleep around 5 or 6 am.nyhe next day I still was not feeling well bit I was feeling better. Usually this place food is really good. Probably won't be back in a while now.
Got the chicken fajitas and.they were absolutely bland. I couldn't taste any seasoning whatsoever and the sauce was more like a Chinese sauce than a Mexican recipe. Traditionally, mushrooms do not go in a fajita and they had that canned mushroom texture. They certainly didn't taste like fresh mushrooms. And do not get me started on the chicken: a tough, dry, flavorless mess that made me gobble up the rice and refried beans which, unfortunately, didn't get enough of. I can say the beans and rice were the only stars of the meal. The price was way too much for the quality that was presented. For that price, I should have flavor, fresh ingredients, and moist chicken. Not something that is bland and regrettably lacking. Every time I've eaten at a Mazatlan restaurant, I've had a poor meal for a steep price. Nearly eighteen dollars for beans and rice! I've been in the restaurant business as both management and in the kitchen for over a decade (including some consulting work), and this meal was an extreme disappointment from execution to final plate.
I hope the owners of the restaurant take this review and get to the bottom of why bland food and poor quality is coming out of their kitchen for their customers and for themselves.
Good food good service and nice people. So nice that one family split between 2 tables bought our dinner. We didn't even know until they were gone.
The chicken was quite bland and the beans where a bit watery, the cheese was minimal, though the service was alright, the Jamaica tasted like a mix of fruit punch and cranberry juice that was watered down heavily.
Ordered Fajita trio. All the meat tasted billed and lacked any actual Mexican flavors.the beans and rice tasted better than the meat.
We just went to this restaurant for dinner tonight, and every time we come in, Marta and Elizabeth give us great service! They are our favorite waitresses here! They are very nice, polite, and I get to show them some of the Spanish I know. The food is great, the cooks are amazing, and the prices are great. We come to this Mazatlan every time we want to go out to eat, and we always love it. Gracias, Marta and Elizabeth!
It's ok not really a good judge on Mexican food don't really care for it so all I can say is my fajitas were ok
I like Mazatlan food in general this location in particular though is pretty rude service wise I don't know if I'll be back to this location due to the general nature of the customer service and quality of food compared to the other locations
The mazaltan in aloha is no good. If you really want good Mexican food, take the time for the extra drive and go to the one in hillsboro - hands down 100x better. The one in aloha can’t follow directions from written orders, their food is bland and just tastes poorly, liked just throw ingredients together without intent. Hillsboro location actually puts effort into what they are doing and well worth the money.
Amazing food, authentic flavors, friendly service and great prices. This is my husband's favorite Mexican restaurant!
The food and service are great but I find it absolutely ridiculous that you are charging customers $0.25 a bag for takeout. The law does not apply to restaurants in the first place, and most grocery stores are only charging $0.05. When I asked about this, I was told “everyone is doing it, ” and that’s just not true. You are the only takeout restaurant I’ve been to that charges for a bag. Particularly at this time when takeout is the only option, I cannot believe you would gouge your customers this way. It’s greedy and telling customers this is the norm is dishonest.
I use to go there with my family every weekend for many years but is not as good as it use to be the food is no bueno no more
