6Went a little farther up a McGowan Rd then we normally do while picking mushrooms. Didnt find any mushrooms b I t came across this view at the top of the Coburg Hills! Can't believe i've never been up here before! It was an amazing view!
The Marcela road is closed currently so I had to go to shotgun creek and up that way to get to a decent spot.
Beautiful view. Got some lovely engagement photos of my niece and nephew in-law!
Easy drive to actually. Paved all but the last mile or so on an easy dirt road. Beautiful view! Trash though, left on the ground from disrespectful persons. Worth the drive! Be careful as some people have burned pallets as fire wood which usually leaves nails on the ground.
Amazing views across the Willamette Valley to Marys Peak — even with morning fog down below it’s a spectacular vista. The pull out is big, rough and can be muddy. Take chairs, there is no bench, you’ll want to sit near the edge and, perhaps, enjoy a picnic lunch …
Great time. Been coming up here for a long time. Great place to take the girl on a date for a beautiful view and some alone time. Also great for bringing the kids up to teach gun safety and doing some target shooting. Ironically, Well it says the address is Harrisburg, you actually get there by way of heading out to marcola towards shotgun Creek recreational park.
