McKee Bridge reviews
17The McKee bridge was a fun stop. It has information about the history of the bridge and surrounding areas. It also has a guest book to sign and areas of the bridge that people can write on.
Absolutely beautiful place with great history. Perfect for a calm walk in the winter or swimming spot in the summer.
What a beautiful little park. The bridge is so cool and I loved the little park. Highly recommend for a day trip out of the valley.
McKee Bridge is an amazing place. It's a perfect place to get away and relax, go for a swim, as well as having the opportunity to behold one of Oregon's historic landmarks.
Spaced out along both inner sides of the bridge are boards that people are able to sign there names on or write positive/encouraging words of wisdom for other visitors to enjoy.
Great place to visit. Especially if you want to get wet at a beautiful spot. Get some history and some fun in the sun. If you like spending time with the family and having a picnic then this is the spot for you.
Super chill place. Small Park by river, well kept by site hosts. Bridge is really neat piece of local history. Will absolutely be back for a quiet lunch by the river.
Wonderful historic covered bridge across the Applegate River maintained by the McKee Bridge Historical Society.
We went for the Christmas lights, cocoa and crafts. Very nice place to go during Christmad or go for a picnic during the off season.
A beautiful place to visit. A small, but well maintained park, with a nice seating area and picnic tables around the site. The bridge itself is a site to see!
Beautiful and amazing. Love the old time feel and seeing all the guest registry and boards to sign on. The history is amazing. We love old covered bridges. Swimming is like ice but equally as refreshing if your able to overcome the cold.
Been going there since I was a kid love going there love walking on the bridge the rope swing is a blast as well it's just too bad no restaurant no star no more beer bummer
Very popular spot but it was soo busy the day I went there. The river bank was muddy/sludgy and, unfortunately, people were not cleaning up after themselves. We immediately left and went to Cantrell Buckley park and it was a great decision. Just a short drive away.
I did come here on a Friday afternoon and there was only a couple of people here.
A great river escape in southern Oregon. We were happy to see bbq pits, picnic tables, bathrooms and plenty of parking.
The water was ice cold and plenty of shallow areas for our young son to play in. I recommend this quick stop when you are in Jacksonville, it's about 20 minutes south of the town.
Nice spot to visit and day camp picnic area too.cute historic covered bridge over the Applegate River
One of my favorite covered bridges. River accessibility. Bathrooms. Trails. Picnic areas. Covered picnic area. Good amount of parking.
Hot and dry. Restrooms are disgusting. Very undesirable, too many people that don't respect boundaries. Nasty place.
Kind of inside valley and trees, it was a little difficult to get there with the best light condition for photographic pictures. Seems like it would be ideal before noon (probably 10-11 am, or 3~4 hours after the sunrise) and late afternoon (3-4 pm or 3~4 hours before the sunset) to allow sunlight casting shadow on the bridge. It would be a luck to even catch best colorful sunset cloud, like some photos posted online. Plan the trip, not to be fooled.
