McMenamins Grand Lodge, Forest Grove OR

We went there on Thursday to celebrate a family member's special birthday. It was early in the evening and they were not busy. The food was okay, but the service was so disappointing it doesn't even deserve 1 star. The only exception was the girl that brought out our food and silverware.she did her job. During our dinner, the waiter stopped by our table to tell us he was going on break and his manager was going to cover us. After dinner, we stopped the manager and told him we wanted a brownie desert. It was taking a long time and we were losing patience and went to seek the manager or the waiter to find out where her desert was and we were told it was coming. Well, we never got it! Now we saw our waiter and asked for the check. We told him how we waited for the desert and after waiting for long time decided we don't want it just the check. When he came one of my relatives said that they have never had such poor service in years. Our waiter gave us attitude and strongly put the bill on the table and said "well on that note" and he turned around and stormed off and didn't come back.
I feel the waiter and his manager should get retrained or pick a different job. Rating 0 for service.

Avoid Concerts Here.

1st - They are under noise ordinance here. The concerts have to be very quiet. 75 ft away from stage I can barely hear the instruments, and ZERO Bass; my hearing is perfect.

2nd - Rude staff. A parking attendant named Tom, told me that "I hope you'd reck your car" because I wanted to repark my car.

Just stay away, save your money, and go to your show at a different venue.
Terrible venue.

Quirky and somewhat creepy hotel almost like being in a David Lynch production. Outdoor concert venue is nice.

This place is like the Enchanted Forest for adults. Every single employee was chill, helpful and on top of it. The food was excellent and the rooms were so cool. Even the cleaners stopped us and pointed out secret passageways and hidden rooms. I will be talking about our stay there for such a long time I'm sure my grandkids will hear about it

It's a beautiful property with a good atmosphere, nice staff, and good food. I love how their soups and teas taste. The soaking pools are also very calming and pleasant. Overall, going there is a very nice experience.

DIDN'T RATE THE ROOMS HAVEN'T STAYED IN ONE BUT THE FOOD AND LOCATION VERY NICE! WILL BE BACK FOR SURE!

I've not logged here, however I've gone to eat and have a drink. I want to happy with staff. All were quite cold when it comes to logistically interacting with others

The grounds are beautiful with many impressive trees. The room was comfortable and the staff were really nice.

Went to a concert there. Just an FYI they are strict on the blanket & chair rules. The concert venue was really cool

I had a blast exploring the property. 1st time ever being to McMenamins and I got to say I can't wait to go back.

Fun, friendly and amazing atmosphere. We stayed 2 nights for my wife's birthday and to see Les Claypool's fearless flying frog brigade at the on site open air music venue. She and I had an absolutely magical time!

Awesome venue for an outdoor concert. Good drinks expensive food so u suggest going early and eating inside at the restaurant. It's such a cool McMenamins. Lots to cool bars to discover

I love McMenamins! This one had some really challenging service in the bars. Maybe it's because there was a concert. The restaurant service was excellent.

What a outstanding venue if you get a chance to go to any of favorites shows, just do it.

Scenery was amazing after getting out food we found 4 hairs in one sandwich and 1 long in a burger, broken glass on the floor and dirty dishes outside everyone, staff was very kind
