Brewpub McMenamins Sherwood reviews
16Lately it seems they’re understaffed. Tonight we were waiting to be seated and even my children got the impression we weren’t wanted there. Maybe because the waitress at the bar rolled her eyes. We were just standing there quietly. Decided to just go elsewhere. Pretty upsetting since this was our regular go to eat out place.: (
For future reference only one person's opinion matters, that of the customer. In this case the only customer
Great food and great atmosphere. Staff was on point. Never disappointed at a McMenamins. Bean and seed gyro is excellent. Goes great with their hazy IPA!
I guess it was busy. It didn't seem like it. The gal said she'd be with me soon. After about 5-10 min she asked a server if he would go get my order. My tots were just warm.not hot like right out of the cooker.
"They have Scooby Snacks! " Not all locations have the mini corn-dogs and to say that the love of my life was excited to see that on the menu is an understatement.
Very dingy and dark. Could use a little love and attention. The food taste good. I had the tuna sandwich with fries and my husband had the sliders and beer. It was all good. But no music and not very inviting.
This is an interesting place to eat, for the simple reason that burgers are not just burgers. They have unique twists to most every burger and a delight to be had.
The allow for special options such as gluten free and things along that line.
I have a special diet and the waitress was more than accommodating.
I am a McMenamins lover but every place can have a bad day. We had a larger group (7). Service was okay, food orders were botched. We left full.not a bad experience, just not up to expectstions.
Really nice ambience, clearly a local favorite. It was my first visit and I would surely visit that or another location when I'm in the Portland area.
I’ve been to a few McMemamins and this one is definitely the bottom of the list. I ate at one just yesterday (Lincoln City) and ordered the same thing. Sherwoods burger was way over seasoned, tots undercooked. Lemonade was watered down and warm. Corn dogs super over cooked. Ordered fries got tots. Sat for quite awhile before offered menus. It was dead there (average late lunch hour). It was a whole mess - maybe a standard acrossed McMenamins needs to be refreshed.
Wouldn’t return to Sherwood location.
Can't believe we had to wait so long for our metal to be brought to us. The food is good. A drink from the bar was not what was supposed to be.
The wait was way too much.
Pretty typical McMenamins, nothing crazy. Staff was lovely and helpful. Really cute outdoor seating on the side the restaurant. Cute kids menu coloring page. This location was very family oriented.
Great food and service. There was a wait longer than usual because of staffing shortages, but the people who were working were all smiles and personable. Once we got seat, our order was taken quickly and we got our food in a very reasonable amount of time.
All in all, well worth the wait and price.
Great place for cider, beer, and good pub food. Service has been good every time I've been there, although we deliberately go during happy hour, which is less crowded and there is a discount on pints and some happy hour appetizers.
Came in with my husband and 2 young girls an hour before closing on a Sunday night: we'd been at a show and had few food options at nearly 10 pm!
The server warned us that he was working the floor alone, but still took our order promptly and delivered the food pretty quickly after that. My daughter enjoyed the gluten free bun on her burger (and did not get sick from cross contamination later - always a bonus with a celiac!) and the rest of us enjoyed our entrees as well. The fondue was good as always!
