Such a great small town library! Wonderful selection for kids. Very knowledgeable staff, even for teens. Being part of the larger library system means we've been able to place holds here and use the Libby app. So, easy access to lots of materials for a town our size.

Beverly cleary lives in this town according to wikipedia
beverly cleary books are so much fun to read
Dear Mr Henshaw has some great scenes where Leigh Bots is in the car with the mom watching the ocean waves and eating dinner
i like the stories most of the characters are loners it is somewhat easier to write about a character who is a loner
i like the influence beverly cleary has had on me

They cater to the vagrants, which has made the library an environment that we do not feel welcome or safe in. The vagrants camp out inside of the building all day and there have been violent incidents in the building. The management approach needs to change!

When I lived in McMinnville between the years of 2014-16, I pretty much made my home in the library (just kidding.kinda). They have an excellent dvd selection (although I never checked any out, the covers were pretty cool). I basically used the computers to play games on when I wasn't walking around on your streets there. Also they have a really good selection of magazines, and newspapers. But what I really liked, was a few of the workers there. Namely; Alice, Courtney, and Diane. Thank you very much for all the help you provided me. So KUDOS to you all!

While I have not been in the book-containing part of the McMinville Library, I drove up there from Eugene last weekend to go to the Wildflower Show which was held in a downstairs room. The wildflower show only happens once a year almost every year, but the Library has an outdoor native plant wildflower garden that is lots of fun. You can visit it anytime. Lots of good parking in a big lot here and disability parking was quite close to the entrance to the wildflower show. Kudos to the Cheamill Chapter of NPSO for the WF Show and the native plant garden.

I took my son here on a rainy day, we picked out several books but were told that we couldn’t get a library card because we live in Newberg. I have library cards from 5 different counties and have never been turned down because of where I reside. Very disappointing and frustrating for me and my toddler.
*Update*
After looking on the libraries website, there are actually three different ways that I could have gotten a library card that day.
