Medford Food Co-op reviews
16Went in looking for fish local to Oregon got followed around like I was going to steal something. For some one from a different state this was extremely rude
You can't go wrong here. Excellent produce. Immaculate store. Employees are well informed and more than willing to help you with your needs. I will be a customer til the day I leave this earth. A+
Great food, great staff. But if you want to purchase deli food to eat on the go, be prepared to eat your potato salad or other deli food with your fingers. They don’t have available utensils to use or buy. They are already super expensive compared to other stores that offer similar organic, healthy foods. I feel like the increased price should earn me the benefit of eating without getting potato salad underneath my fingernails.: P
Totally dishonest. This co-op is suppose to be part of the food stamp double up program, yet twice they have tried to cheat me. I again, brought this up to the supervisor on duty today, as we fought over $2.69 that was deducted from my new double up order when it should not have been deducted, because It was a credit. It was unbelievable that this manager did not know the rules, and was dismissing me over and over again, even when I was trying to point out where the error was. But he refused to fix it. I went away very distressed, as a disabled, low income, food stamp recipient, who frequently shops at this store I would expect more professionalism and knowledge about the double up bucks food stamp program, but he was non accommodating, and dismissive and did not fix the problem. I will contact the state program about them doing this, because they are not complying with the system. I will not shop here anymore, as I found them to be very dishonest, and the experiences stressful. Talked to the manager again, and they are still not honoring food bucks as they should. They are still lying, as their attempted explanation below is still a lie. Anyone who is shopping this program with food stamps, please go somewhere else. They will rip you off. Never shopping here again, goodness gracious!
Probably the best employees ever. Everyone is so nice. The store is always clean, rarely busy, and if you need help, it's not more than a few steps away. Medford Co Op is tiny, but they do well with the size. And that deli is just.perfection. It's virtually impossible to find lunch under $10 anywhere, but you can still do it here.
Great pal e, great selection, friendly staff and fairly reasonable prices. This store has so many specialized products for special dietary needs and those who prefer to eat healthier and prefers no GMO or non-organic foods. I love the whole cream milk! Reminds me of drinking farm fresh milk from the cow. My favorite! The store is always stocked well with fresh items and the staff all are trained and have knowledge in their specific department like the homeopathic and natural medicine. Great place to visit and shop!
Nice sale prices on produce and bulk items. I appreciate the less waste this created, but would love if there were recycling and composting options at this location like there is at the Ashland Co-op and others.
Turn in this parking lot for instant charm and somehow a feeling you are now somewhere else?
Magnificent trees are a plus.
Selection magnificent and only missing one item.
Ground Up nut butters
Rude staff. Will Not return. Small selection of only top "health food" brands. I work close by, and am a part of this community, but no longer support this coop. It's too bad covid has turned this place and it's Staff into rude agents of propaganda. I advize anyone support other establishments that favor freedom and bodily autonomy.
I go out of my way to keep my dollars local, and support brick and mortar businesses.
I believe that a business should have the right to enforce any policies they choose, no matter how silly. I also have the right to take my business elsewhere.
I will shop at Amazon before I return to this store. And that's saying something coming from me.
Fresh vegetables, clean store reasonable prices. The staff was fantastic and kind. I recommend this store!
This is a small store packed with top brand items. Unfortunate, the custom service is not welcoming to all customers.
Recently tried to shop here and was thrown out when my husband who is a disabled veteran declined to wear a mask. Have shopped here without a mask before without a problem. We told the associate we would inform the community of their un-accommodating stance. Would not recommend shopping here if you want a friendly and welcoming experience.
I always have the best shopping experience at the Medford Food Co-op. I have no complaints at all.
I had never had anything vegan let alone made with chia seeds until I had been given a gift certificate for their Cafe which showcases their Chia seed vanilla pudding.my 4 month long still running favorite ;)
OMG this place is amazing! Great selection! They have starters to start your beneficial bacteria cultures. Kefir, both milk and water, Kombucha, etc.
