Meineke Car Care Center, Portland OR

After my catalytic converter was stolen from my RV, Jarred and his crew got right to work, found the part I needed, dealt with the insurance company, and got me on the road in time for spring break. These guys are terrific! Wouldn't take my car anywhere else

The store manager was awesome. Very accommodating, knowledgeable, and fast while being thorough. I will definitely come back to this location for my future car needs.

I made an appointment here at this Meineke to get tires and wheel alignment. The job took 3 and a 1/2 hours, on top of tthe 45 minutes their computer system not recognising my car care account. When I finally get my keys I make my way to my car. When I get there I find that my rims are gouged all along the outer edge where the tire meets the rim. These were $1100. They were scratched and gouged down deep into the metal. To top it off, I get inside my car and I find some type of glass pipe used to smoke drugs. It was broken in my center console wrapped in a piece of brown paper bag. There's still residue of the drug inside it. They go through my glove compartment, and they wrecked the remote control to my new stereo by closing the metal hinge on it. I will never come back to meineke again. This was absolutely a disaster and I am going to pursue this until every point of this review has been addressed. Do not take your car here!

Received a referral to Meineke in Portland so with one call, they scheduled our appt for the following day, detected the problem immediately and resolved as needed. Jarred was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly and we will continue to use them on all future business. I highly recommend them!

The service was great. I like that they send the report to my phone. Would definitely be going here. They corrected me and put the right oil in my car. The only complaint I have is the location. I wish they were closer to Gresham.

These guys were so busy but crammed us in when i had car trouble passing through town. The parking lot had room for our pop up camper. My brakes were shot so John gave us a ride to and from the Light Rail so we could take the five kids around downtown Portland instead of waiting. Dang good service and I feel safe finishing our road trip.

Great service! Oil change took a while but the guys were nice and it was only 20 bucks! Free tow up to 15 miles when you get their rewards.

I took my car here to get the struts replaced after a Meineke in Albuquerque took a look at and did some other work (they were fast, professional, and very nice too)
I’m not sure who took care of me, it was an older but not old man in business casual attire. He was helpful and really funny.
Only problem is they didn’t call me when the work was finished, but to be fair I had called earlier and they told me 30 more minutes, so that could have been my bad.

Changed my oil, car started pinging, we to my reg place changed to orig motorcraft oil pinging stopped, cheap oil product.

John and Al both took excellent care of me as a customer and of my car as well. I didn't feel pressured and they worked with me to stay within my budget and fix what was most pressing in terms of repairs. Thanks guys

I was dupe by the people here i went to my mechanic and ask for second opinion and i was able to get my car fix suoer cheap not near to the guy pricing in this place. Be careful make sure start checking other car shop before you get your car done. I do not recommend this place anymore.

Good place to go! Nice guys. They bent over backwards to help me get my car ready for a 3000 mile road trip to east coast on limited funds. Timing belt was ready to go and they rescued me from a serious problem on the road. Highly recommended! Thank you to Al and his crew and also to the manager who gave me a ride home! Next time i come to Portland you guys have my business!

An honest business that does not take advantage of you with pricing. My husband went to Meineke for a quote on brakes after being told they would be 1,500+ from another brake shop. Meineke did the work at a fourth of that price and the crew was awesome and friendly! Thank you!

Wow - my car had a crazy issue and had been to other mechanics who essentially “put bandaids on it” but this Meineke dove in to find the true issue and service it correctly. Truly felt cared for and a neighbor here. I respect the way that they do business. Great team - great standards - and great work ethic.

Good crew, works hard. Only do work you want and don't try to talk you into stuff you don't want to pay for.

I just want to say that I was treated as a valuable customer. John the manager was honest and explain what was the most important parts on the car that should be done first. Next John gave me an honest assessment of how much it would cost to fix the car. This would include discounts as well. He made sure the job was done right and done
on the same day that I had brought it in. He has a way of helping customers feel very important and satisfy when they leave their car with him and when they finally pick the car up after it has been fixed. I am giving Meineke a rating of 5. A rating of excellence.

These guys really helped me out. I wasn't passing the DEQ and they worked their magic and I passed. Got me in fast. Greatly appreciated.

I have to say, that John is da bomb! Great service, fast, and friendly. One of the last honest mechanics around. Don't mess with the other crooks, head on over to John to be in good hands. For real!
