Fantastic experience having Moda handle our local move. Friendly, fast, efficient, careful, and much better than PDX movers. Would definitely use Moda again for future moves. Thanks to Vlad and the crew for a great move!

Our team of Javier S, Cameron S and Joshua Hagg did an excellent job with our move. Though what I would guess to be an average size move, we had many large heavy pieces and lots of stairs. They were extremely careful, worked diligently, were very professional, took good care of our belongings and were friendly to boot. I would highly recommend this team and Moda Moving. A overall (moving is never fun) quality experience.

Well, where does one start? Stars selected is one, but not what we truly wanted to select which is a negative 10 Stars. There is good reason!
It's been almost 1 year to this date our nightmare of a journey began, and has now just been completed. I will say upfront that there are 2 parties involved, Moda Moving out of Oregon and North American Van Lines. North American Van Lines Custmer Service Department (upper management) did their best to satisfy us with compensation for all damages to our property.
This was our first time hiring a moving company, past moves we always did on our own. It was different this time as I was disabled. During moving day I was unable to observe entire crew packaging items as there was 3 levels to the house and crews on each level. We did pack most boxes, leaving Moda to pack and wrap almost all large items which included a brand new refrigerator (that received dents and scratches on both doors as it was not wrapped in anything when offloaded from truck), brand new bedroom set (had scrathes at end destination) and cement outdoor garden items (not wrapped in any protection and put in cardboard boxes and they weighed over 100 lbs each), broken heirlooms again not wrapped etc. In addition we were charged for disassembly and assembly at end destination of multiple items. Shelving was to be disassembled and wasn't and completely damaged. Assemly at end destination was attempted but driver said not his responsibility. We were charged for all those services in addition to regular moving fees.
We were told that our property would be in storage then put on a trailer direct to the end destination. Come to find out midway thru the trip across the country our belongings were removed from one trailer to another without our knowledge. This added the possibility of more damage to our belongings.
While Moda is packaging your items they have a process, they do not explain thoroughly to you and yet expect you to sign that you agree to what they have documented about your items. There is a numbering system they use which includes descriptions of damage your belongings have at the time of pickup. What was amazing is that this process, we discovered in the
end was misleading. It seemed to be that almost every item Moda was responsible for packaging and moving they stated there was already damage to those items, when there was not. We discovered this once we were collecting information for our damage claim. An example of this was when they marked on the sheet that an item had damage and when looking at the item at the end destination there was no damage at all to that item. I would venture to say this is a sly way of CYA for Moda and any damage created by their neglect of proper protection to your property. It explained why the sheets of paper were completed by the supervisor not in the vicinity of said items when itially documented, but in another location of the house. A suggestion is if you choose to use any moving company ask the movers to point out exactly where the damage is and get a visual first hand and initial each said damage listed on their paperwork.
I truly hope that the Supervisor, Vlad, who handled our packaging and loading of our belongings has been reassigned to a different position within the company. I did send information to the company once our belongings arrived damaged and some broken in pieces on how disappointed we were. The lack of care and handling our belongings was so disappointing especially when you are being compensated greatly for it.
This review might be one year late, but hope if you do choose Moda that you watch every move they make.
Would not recommend!

Our move project was a local one. We cleared out a storage unit in Salmon Creek, and moved our belongings to an apartment in SE Vancouver.
Moda Moving 2 man team Brandon & Cameron was fast, yet careful.
Highly recommend Moda Moving for your moving needs.

Major shout out and Kudos to Eugene and Trent!
I was pretty convinced the day before that I was in trouble with my move, too much stuff and too busy with work.
Then, Trent and Eugene showed up and saved the day! They moved me to my new place in a matter of hours, and that was including the 20 minute drive to the new place.
These guys are beyond incredible and deserve a raise!
Thank you both so so much for making that happen! You guys are the best!

The initial quote was very accurate. The team of movers were extremely professional, courteous, and made every effort to protect walls and floors while moving. The loading was efficient and the unloading was extremely fast. I would recommend motor moving to anyone who wants their move to be done quickly and carefully. I have another move that is in my future and I will definitely call them again

#1 Tip if you are moving far, beware contract movers especially those who work out of Florida. They are sharks. Read the reviews for them and look at Dept of Transportation complaints. NONE of them are good.

#2 Tip. Find a local mover who fits your budget.

We recently used Moda Moving and they were solid from beginning to end. The process was very straightforward, the staff were professional, the movers were great. They picked up when they said they would, delivered when they said they would, sent me a bill for the amount they quoted me. What else can you really ask for?

So if you are moving give Moda Moving a call.
If I'm moving again and they are available I wouldn't even call anyone else, I'd just have them come out, give me an estimate and use them.

By the way they were not the cheapest quote, that badge of honor went to the Florida contract movers. Oh.if they would have done it the bill would have been something close to 2x more than the quote and they don't tell you that until after you are loaded.

One of the worst experiences I've had with a moving company. The movers disassembled my bed and when they reassembled it at the destination they left several parts of the bed frame underneath the bed. The reassembling was not complete. No one informed me of this. In addition, when I attempted to move my dresser myself after it was reassembled, one of the legs fell off. Again, no one informed me that the leg got broken during the process of the move. I felt like damage was done and was "swept under the rug" in hopes that I wouldn't notice it. Very underhanded. They took their time and threw alot of my furniture into a box, for example a lamp. I'm also missing parts to my mirror. I will never work with this company again.

***Please read the negative reviews because they are true!

I hired this company to move my 2 bedroom apartment on Saturday. I was told by two separate people at the office that it was possible to move a 2 bedroom apartment in two hours. This I found out was completely not true.  First off, I was scheduled to move at 8 am. I received a phone call at 7: 15 to say they had arrived and were ready to move me. I told them I would be ready at 7: 45. Later I found out this time was counted against me. Why? I didn't schedule you to arrive at 7: 15 am, why was this time used as moving time? Later they said they would not charge me for it but use it as their lunch time. Again why? They were only there for 3 hours. You are not required by law for a lunch time till after working 6 hours.  Secondly, I was told two men would be moving me and this was not the case. The second guy spent most of his time doing paperwork, calling his boss, waiting for his boss to call him back and then complaining that he's not a lead yet while the other guy moved some boxes.  Finally when they both could move the stuff they moved:
Couch
Chair
2 mattresses
bookshelf
a/c unit
some of 2 bed frames and 3 boxes
All for a total of 3 hours and $412! The moving truck wasn't even 1/3 of the way full. They then suggested I rent a u-haul. Why should I? Isn't that why I hired movers? I really feel that you must overestimate in the office what can be done because what the movers did was completely not what you said they would do. I then had to move all the rest of my apartment because nothing was actually moved! $400! I feel completely scammed out of my money. They must over promise so that you feel you need to keep them there longer and pay an outrageous amount when it's all done.
Avoid these movers at all cost!

These guys did a great job for our move. They were flexible and able to do a load-only for us. We needed them to pack a lot into a smaller Penske truck and they tetris-ed it so nicely. They carefully wrapped the furniture and put up corner protectors. Everything made it intact to our destination - a 4 day road trip!

Hired Moda to move me out of a third/fourth floor walk-up loft. They were incredibly prompt, and efficient in the load out. I'm sure I looked quite frazzled when they showed up because they assured me this was nowhere near the worst prepared they had seen a place, they would get this done and all would be ok. They were courteous and reassuring on a very stressful day. Super pleased with their work and would hire them again.

These guys were amazing! I had a team that consisted of Jorge, Cam & Brian. They were right on time. They did a quick inventory. They moved everything as fast as possible. They were professional. They moved everything carefully and took great care with my belongings. They were kind. They even helped me with a car that I was having trouble with on my driveway. After they loaded everything into the truck, they went straight to my new location. They almost had everything moved in by the time I got there. This is a top notch moving company. I highly recommend them. Jorge, Cam & Brian were absolutely outstanding! Thank you so much!

I have a strong inclination to support small businesses, often making them my first choice. With this in mind, I came across Moda Moving after reading numerous positive reviews. However, my experience was far from satisfactory. Initially, I hired three movers, but only two arrived for the first two hours. The third member eventually appeared, spending 35 minutes in my master bedroom disassembling the TV mount, then took an extended break while the others continued working.

Upon reaching the final destination, the third mover was 45 minutes late, and despite my attempts to get his attention, he ignored me. During unloading, a mishap occurred, resulting in my makeup unit falling from the truck, causing substantial damage to my makeup collection due to inadequate wrapping. Even though I had specifically requested proper protection, it was not provided, resulting in significant financial loss.

To exacerbate matters, my newly purchased 65-inch TV was broken during the move. Furthermore, the third mover spent an inexplicable 30 minutes in my half bath, which was not functional, emitting an odd smell upon exiting. The insurance plan offered by Moda Moving was poorly explained, and their standard insurance covered a meager 0.30 cents per pound, leaving my valuable belongings vastly underinsured.

My interactions with Randy, the general manager, were disheartening as he displayed condescending behavior, leaving me feeling belittled. Despite his forced apology, he failed to follow up, ignoring my emails and voicemails. It became evident that the moving team was fatigued from a prior job, resulting in a lack of productivity during my move. This experience has been ongoing for three months, leading me to advise against choosing Moda Moving for your relocation needs. Numerous reputable moving companies prioritize the safety of your belongings and are more deserving of your trust
