My car was broke down at Walmart. Thank God I have AAA. I’m even happier at the service I got from Tina the tow truck driver from Morin’s. She was friendly and knew her stuff. She got me and my car home safely. She made a terrible situation not so bad. I appreciate everything she did for me. Thank you Tina, you are the best!

Tina is Great. Even took Time to show ME how to lower spare tire. Fast (in the rain) friendly Lady, knew her Job. Thanks to Morin's for answering my call for help, in a controversial location. Another company refused to help, shame on them. Great company.

Twenty miles out of Coos Bay 3 days ago we had an emergency breakdown situation and our car was towed to Morin's. They were exceptionally quick in diagnosing the problem, were able to get the part needed in town and had us back on the road home to Idaho in a very reasonable time. The receptionist (I don't remember her name) was especially friendly, respectful and courteous. Morin's would get our business again if the need arose.

Last night I got a flat and needed my car towed. (with no spare - lesson learned). Anyway, Tina came within 15 minutes and was very kind, not to mention funny. She had me towed and on my way in a jiffy. I would highly recommend Morin's for towing.

I took my vehicle there to have repairs done and to get an overall appraisal of work that needed to be done as well as a diagnosis of a stumble at resting idle. The mechanic did the work, but the stumble was never fixed. He stated he switched a couple of spark plug wires because he thought they were shorting out due to old codes in the system. Also, quotes for repairs included a ball joint that had already been fixed.

Tina R from this company was an angel of comfort and support when she turned up at a remote national park to help load our broken down rental car (from Thrifty at SeaTac who gave us a car with no spare wheel!) and take us to our accommodation around 10 pm at night. She was amazing in re-assuring my wife and myself, providing us with excellent advice of whereto go for repairs. Tina was also efficient and professional in the way she carried out her work. She has a wonderful heart and people skills in the way she reached out to us in our time of need in such a caring manner. Truly a special human being and an asset to this company. Thank you Tina and best wishes in the future. We will always remember your care of us and your wonderful service.

My dad recommended we take our 2010 dodge ram truck here. The steering box/power steering went out.
Dave had it for about 8 days. He was short staffed and swamped but he got it done in a reasonable time. As we did a drop by, no appointment.
He was honest about the price, no surprises. Didn't talk us into doing anything else to the truck like others would.

Thankfully we had an extended warranty that saved us $1k. Only had to pay $100! But again that's because of our warranty. The part was the most expensive thing on our receipt. I am very happy with our experience. He used to do payments, however too many bad apples ruined that for the rest of us.

Be sure to support our local Coos county mechanics!
He is from here and has been here for many years.
We thank you again Dave!

Yukon would not start. First time it went to Morin's, I had it towed. It recently had the timing chain and starter replaced. It ran for a couple days and then would not start. At that point, I decided to just have it taken to a shop for further evaluation. I was thinking it was the fly wheel. That tow bill cost me $175.00

After a couple of days Morin's called me saying the timing was way off and it needed a new starter. This did not make any sense as the timing had just been checked and that was fine. The starter I had put on it was the correct starter for the Yukon and was purchased from Autozone. The starter needed is a gear driven starter. (more to come on this)

I was told the Yukon had been fixed and the cost was 391.13.
The cost included $210 for labor. Which was stated "verify starter isn't engaging the flexplate because it had the incorrect starter for vehicle" "found timing to be too far advanced causing starter to disengage. " $166.13 was the charge for the starter Morin's put on it.

As we drove the Yukon home it was not running good. The entire inside of the vehicle was covered in mold. When I got it home, I parked it for a couple days so we could get garage cleaned to move it in and clean all the mold. When I went to start it, it did the exact same thing as it did when I originally had it towed there.

I called Morin's and told them they said they would come pick it up. I asked if it was covered under any time of warranty, especially since it was drove from their shop home and that was it. I was told she didn't know.

After the Yukon had been there a couple of days, I was called and told the car couldn't be fixed. The reason given was the motor was not worth the cost of repair. After a couple days of trying to decide what to do, Morin's called me and asked me to bring them my title.

Heck NO! Only because what they were saying made absolutely no sense. At this point I felt they were scamming me for my vehicle.

After paying them another $211.50 they towed it back home.

Once home, 2 friends who are mechanics came and looked at it. Within a matter of an hour, they found what the issue was.

First, when Morin's had it for the first time. They switched number 3 & 5 spark plug wires. This being the reason it didn't run right on the way home. They put the wrong starter bolts on it with the wrong starter. They had the starter too shimmed.

This is what it needed:
the correct bolts and starter
Cap and Rotor
Spark plug wires to be put back in the correct place

I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this shop. They knew I didn't have much money and this was my only transportation. They purposely made the Yukon not run right. The correct starter was expensive, costing $260. When they switched my expensive correct starter with the incorrect cheaper one. They claimed to have gotten rid of mine. That was mine and I never said they could keep it.

I can share picture of everything. I am planning to file a small claim. I am not rich and was completely taken advantage of by MORIN's

The Yukon is running great no thanks to MORIN

If there was a zero star you would get it thanks for saying I didn't know what I was doing. You could not figure out it needed a distributor cap and rotor only to say the motor was shot. Did you not get paid to find the problem

We had to call AAA because we left the lights on while in the parking lot of the hospital for an appointment and our battery died. Tina was there within 5min of me putting in the AAA call, had us driving out the parking lot in another 5. I really appreciated the quick response time and prompt and competent service.

We were on a road trip and had our transmission fail in Coos Bay. We called AAA and they sent us these guys. They showed up within an hour to tow our van back to mt hood area. It was clear the driver was knowledgeable and skilled at his job. Everything went smooth and we couldn't be happier with our tow and our bill. We highly recommend this company for their towing services.
Thank you, Morins!

I wouldn’t let this company tow my bicycle. Beware they damage vehicles and make you take them small claims court to get your vehicle repairs paid for. I knew when the driver told me that this was the second time this has happened to him and that the last person had to sue them. It probably wasn’t going to be good.

Tina was great! Second time we’ve had her out for a tow.

We appreciate you Tina!
