Motel 6 Salem, OR

This motel is a poor excuse for a motel the front desk people are disrespectful verbally abusive people and I'm embarrassed to have stayed at this establishment the room has black mold bathroom falling off the hinges bathroom ceiling wanting to cave in no mini fridge or microwave at all whatsoever said they would refund 20 percent of our money cuz of the mold and the condition of the room and I located a couple of bed bugs also that I shouldn't have killed id advise people if you are looking for somewhere to stay consider a different hotel homeless in and out all the time and the rooms are not child friendly at all I refuse to stay at motel 6 again just a embarrassment being someone who has disabilities and little kids are loud we get the cops called on us and put on the do not rent list for the kids being loud very disrespectful people and I'm discussed with my family's stay and refused to refund our money and made poor excuses to not refund my money and also smells like drugs

Price was decent for one night with 2 dogs. No pet deposit, which was nice. However, it looked like a druggie hotel because people mostly live there, and everyone was seemed to like airing their personal problems loudly outside like it was a real life soap opera. Stay at your own risk.

It is the worst place. I have stayed in other hotels in the top 6. This place has no service, no refrigerator, no less a microwave, much less the alley, I do not recommend it.

No microwaves no fridges. This is one of the worst rooms I ever stayed in. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and I don’t know what’s going on with the motels are in Salem not allowing guests but a little bit ridiculous especially for us who don’t have anywhere else to go visit our guest.
They said they could better my next stay but have no way of contacting them

For the price, it's pretty good! The service is really good, though the rooms could probably use an update.

The Front desk attendant was helpful and polite. Room was clean and looked to be recently renovated only thing missing was a refrigerator and a hair dryer in the bathroom area also the ice machine was out of service.

Ok so I guess this area of Salem is joining the rest of city life in the amount of homeless encampments. Right outside this hotel there was a group of drugged out people on the lawn. Across the road at the bar? Was a full tent encampment. The room was dark, dirty and old. Didn’t feel safe at all. Our room door shook twice during the night with someone trying it. I can say that if you are trying to choose m6 or Shilo, m6 would be the better choice. Shilo was sketchy as heck don’t do that place at all. We won’t be back

Sadly, we did not have a good experience. We reserved 2 nights. We arrived and checked in and only stayed for 2 hours. The smell of smoke and a mixture of another odor was making my daughter sick. The odor was just too strong. I was unable to get a full refund but it is what it is. I only wish the pictures displayed would show the true condition of the establishment. I had no idea it would be as bad as it was. Bottom line, I was clueless of the area and the condition it would be in, I feel sad and disappointed and just don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I made.

When I first arrived, it took over an hour to get checked in due to shift change, and the other employee NOT arriving on time for his shift. That was frustrating because it's a small lobby, there were others waiting, and I'm disabled and there were no more seats so I had to stand. This place has clean rooms, but. It's ghetto and has soooo many crackheads and tweakers staying there and camping outside of the establishment. All I heard for two nights was yelling and fighting from tweakers. It was very annoying. I won't be back unless I had absolutely no other choice.

You know this is going to be a budget motel going in, but avoid this one. This place is sketchy. Stayed here once, less than a year ago. Never again. Truck was broken into and items taken. Long-term guests watched from inside rooms and doorways as I checked in and made it to the room. Pretty creepy. Room was as expected, and the staff were friendly enough.
Never felt safe, and wouldn't want to end up here if other options were available. If you do stay, park your vehicle as close to your room as possible and deadbolt room door.

I only use this chain for the simple fact they are pet friendly. I will never stay at this one again. A very simple mis understanding in how many nights I had paid for turned into a Battle with the incredibly rude front desk lady. If you are traveling and need a pet friendly facility just skip this spot. Laquinta is right down the road. Much safer and alot nicer.

Me and my spouse didn't plan on staying in the area, but I was getting too tired to continue driving so we decided to grab a cheap room for the night. The parking lot was sketchy, but it was very low cost so it makes sense. The lady at the counter seemed irritated when we were getting checked in, but I'd bet she's used to dealing with a rough crowd at that hotel. There were stains on the towels, sheet and walls as well as hair and dirt in the tub. We survived though and it was cheap. I'd go back if I was on a tight budget, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Staff is very friendly the rooms have been redone. Rooms are very clean.
The only downside is no fridge or microwave or pool. But other than that our stay is very nice and close to stores.

We stayed a week while having home renovations. The room was newly renovated and very clean. Beds comfortable the Front Office staff, housekeepers we’re all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again

The grossest room I've stayed in regarding a non smoking room. I can't describe the smell. For a hundred bucks I expected more. Moving up.

Rooms are smelly. They are not quite, you can hear other rooms. I don’t think it’s a motel. Looks like a shelter, and things are broken.

The room i stayed in needed repairs.simple repairs.but weren't done.the price was right!

Everything was good and neat as expected and very nice room inside. Josh, angel and their staff does a good job an I would always go back.

The rooms are freezing cold and the bathrooms are extremely sketchy but the worst this of all wad that the bedding smelt of litteraly BO like actual armpits i wish i were joking i wish i was exaggerating but im really not it smellt like dirt and body odor
