On a lucky summer day, you get to see the setting sun right between the two prominent peaks, Mt. Hood (left) and Mt. Adams (right).

As we are driving across this beautiful plain and looking at these obvious volcanoes and wondering which is which, we see a sign for the "Mountain Identifier. " What a break! This is a great, simple guide so you know which mountain is which from this great vantage point on the high plain south of the Columbia River.

Don’t speed by this stop between Biggs Junction and Condon. It is weird worth the stop to enjoy this vast scenery and mountain peaks.

Nice view of the volcanoes from here, but upkeep needs to be done to the place.

The best way to reach this view spot is by driving northbound to start from Condon (highway 206). You may need a wide-angle lens for your camera.
