Mr.J's Deli-Mart and Video Lottery, Portland OR

Workers are normally fine. But have had many experiences with them being rude, dismissive, and once an a while they can act like biggots. They never have certain things instock and cater to clients that go to the video poker room. Instead of the locals hoping the convenient store is open. And doing what it's named after. If you are in the building why say the store is closed but poker is open? Its still money.
Seriously gone down hill from when it was mr As. They added some murals and that's cool.but that's the best thing about it now. Just subpar. The only reason to go is nessacity and even then don't hold your breath.you'd prolly die.

The murals are the only cool thing about this place. They cater to the video poker players not the local neighbors. During this latest snow storm
the store was closed but not the video poker area really? Video poker is more important than a roll of tp or some butter? I miss when it was Mr A's.

Didnt spend much time on my only visit, although it seems like a good place. Organized, clean and well stocked. I already plan on going again to get a full idea of what is available.

Love the employees here. They don't have scratch-its any more. But their video Lottery machines are cool, they're always busy for a reason!

The customer service is exceptional since the transition from@'s to J's they have a convenient store located on the west side of the building and if you like to play some well played machines that inhale plenty of money to give you a better chance of winning a little.try mrJ'$.

They charge you a. 50 cent fee for all debit transactions regardless of how much you spend?

Better than Dottys, plus there's a convenience store to buy your cigarettes and beer before Oregon Lottery takes the rest yo money. Also cute chick's for viewing pleasures

Love to play slot machines here. There awsome they come in greet you ask what machine and 1 time if you want anything to drink.

I dunno about the market, but I can tell you that the little deli part is really cool and the service is great.

All could ask for in a local convenient store but the prices are a bit too high. And, you are charged. 50c to use your card so don't forget anything before you get to the cash register.

Nice, clean convenience store. Absolutely love the murals on the building. I definitely go out of my way to drop in here if I'm in need of a few quick snacks.

Used to be 5 stars until the owner belittled and humiliated me. An every day customer for years before he even owned the store. I would recommend speaking to the people who keep your business running with respect and speak with them like a decent adult before you assume and jump to conclusions. Yes my panic disorder and PTSD had me bawling before I left your store because of the position you put me in and the way you talked to me.on top of being pregnant that was not cool, and to be honest hurt my feelings.
