Mud Bay reviews
11What an amazing staff, they made us feel very welcome. They had everything we needed at a good price.
I visited here with a friend who just moved up north. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and kind.
Two years ago, I purchased a catnip body pillow for my fur child at the Saturday Farmer's market in downtown Portland. I'd been telling myself I should order another because he's shredded the old one but I hadn't gotten around to it. Not expecting much, I described the pillow to the manager and mentioned the company name (The Spoiled Cat if you're curious) and he led me to a window display and asked, "Do you mean these? "
The two staff members helped me and friend with our purchases and made some recommendations for cat and dog treats (for my girlfriend's little dogs) before giving us free sample treats and thank you notes with a $5 coupon toward our next Mud Bay purchase. The manager also gave my friend a recommendation for a local veterinarian for her two cats and offered to help us carry a new cat tower to the car.
Great service, great inventory and all kinds of strange and fun treats to give to your pets. My cat very much enjoys the rabbit bites I picked up for him and my girlfriend's dogs are big fans of the yak milk chews I was recommended. I'll be sure to stop by next time I'm up visiting to buy things for all the animals in my life.
I went in for the first time today with my sister and we were blown away by the service.we were politely asked to use hand sanitizer when we entered and the staff practiced social distancing from start to finish, which made me feel really safe and comfortable.sometimes when you go into pet shops the staff will lightly interrogate you about your pet which can be kind of uncomfortable, but these people had such wonderful lovely vibes that made me feel like i could ask for help at any time no problem.all of it was such a pleasant surprise and the conversation was friendly and easy.they even gave us a voucher w our purchase bc it was our first time in which was the bow on top of our shopping experience.this is definitely our new go to place for our pet needs, i highly recommend it to anyone thats been curious about it or has considered going in.
Went in and had a hard time trying to find what I was looking for but Kelsey helped me out up front and was able to look up the old food that I used to buy and suggested something just like after she did some research. The food has been working GREAT for my dogs sensitive stomach, thanks for the help! You guys rock and have great service and great prices!
Very disappointed in the city of Sherwood for allowing places like this that pretend to be small and family owned to come in and take business away from REAL family owned small businesses. Not to mention their selection is abysmal (especially in the toy department) and their products are overpriced. The store itself just feels like an ugly fluorescent Petco that’s trying to trick you into giving them money. Don’t shop here, shop small.
Very clean, modern, and health focused pet supply! Feels like a Whole Foods with pig ears in the dog treat section, haha! Items look to be of a much higher quality than what you would find at chain stores, meaning you might be spending more. However, prices are reasonable and you're getting homemade, organic products in some cases that come in a large variety of styles and colors. What really got me was that if something didn't work out (food, treats, toys, etc) you can return the item, and they donate the items to the local animal shelter so they aren't just thrown away or sitting in a clearance bin. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I will be coming back once my kitty destroys her new peacock feather!
We love coming for the wide treat selection of trustworthy brands that are at a very reasonable cost (sometimes better than Petco/Petsmart). Its also so spacious and relaxed. My pup gets nervous/anxious around people, and the employees are super gentle with her. She loves visiting.
Cute store, just newly opened. Very friendly staff. Could use a wider selection of dog treats, especially for larger breeds. But really not bad for new place.
Not sure why they came into town when we have a locally owned business- nature's pet, right around the corner.better to support a local family than a huge conglomerate.
They have been amazing community partners! We popped in and asked them to participate in Santa's Christmas Cottage, a free Sherwood event with a FUNdraising twist that helps a different local non profit organization and they jumped in without hesitation with a raffle prize. When I shopped in their for a gift, they were extremely helpful as well. The store is beautiful and well organized, the people are so nice and they are a great addition to the many wonderful pet options we have in town!
This store is awesome! They have everything you could ever need and more. Plus the staff is super friendly and helpful.
