The 2 mechanics I've worked with so far have been knowledgeable, helpful and reasonable ($). Can't really ask for more in a repair shop, when bringing the bike back outside after a storage year.

Awesome little neighborhood community bike shop with all the essentials and a welcoming staff. A lot of bike shops get a bad rap for having a pretentious air about them, but that's not the case here and that's what will keep me coming back more than anything. Repair services are reliable, quick, and affordable.

Also worth dropping in just to meet the shop dog Pony Boy, he's a sweetheart)

Can’t say enough good things about Alex and Lindsey at North Portland Bike Works! I’m in the process of upgrading my commuter bike and they’ve answered a ton of my bike questions along the way. They always have the parts that I need and are very community oriented/open to sharing their bike knowledge.

I've had my biked tuned up here a couple times and have purchased a few odds and ends. The staff is always super friendly and helpful and my bike always comes back nice and smooth after a tune.

I had taken my bike to three different bike shops before people at North Portland Bike Works finally fixed my front derailleur. They did a great job and did it relatively quickly. This is my new home base bike shop for sure.

North Portland bike works is my shop for life! Had a strange service request that was handled so well and at a reasonable price. Staff was kind and knowledgeable. Purchasing bike equipment there I was offered legitimate expertise based on my needs and not just the most expensive items. I love this place

Needed my drivetrain replaced in a pinch and Lindsay couldn’t have been more helpful. Portland bike shops have never been busier and Lindsay was still able to repair my bike in a very short window. Thanks!

I have had several immensely positive experiences getting repairs from this place. Each staff encounter has been so kind and courteous every time and I'm consistently shocked at how affordable and high-quality their work is. I wouldn't ever consider taking my business anywhere else.
