Dr woods and his team are incredible at their specialty! They are immensely knowledgeable and treat medical conditions at an individual level. This is no cookie cutter doctors office at all. I’ve seen Dr Wood many times and have had a range of great improvement to life-changing positive outcomes every time I kid you not. I had a severe childbirth injury/pelvic pain dysfunction and nerve damage along with a herniated disc.and more. I was in a dark disabled place and had two different highly invasive surgeries that only had 50/50 outcome odds before I was referred over to NW Regen. His treatment gave me my life and joy back. He is funny and personable and above all he likes his job and isn’t some robot provider. He actually listens and cares about patients. He uses many tools to explain how and why the procedures he recommends can heal/work. I recommend him 10 times over and over. I am so thankful!

Amazing doctor! My husband has bad PTSD and has had the Stellate Ganglion Block injection by other doctors and had no response. Dr Wood is by far the best of the best for this procedure! He knows what he’s doing and he actually really cares about helping people! He helped give my husband his life back! We will definitely be back and will be referring him to others we know.

I did one round of PRP injections for chronic low back pain. It did absolutely nothing. Just $1200 dollars down the drain.

My chiropractor referred me to Dr. Woods to treat trigger fingers and moderate carpel tunnel. Full disclosure, after my new patient appointment, I did not continue as a patient with NW Regen so I cannot speak to the efficacy of their treatments. After reading this review, I think you'll understand why.

During the complimentary consult call, Dr. Woods talked to me in ways that assumed I was an expert in his field or he was trying to sound like an expert, without helping me understand. It was challenging to get him to slow down, to listen, or really hear what my personal needs were. He talked through some options and costs, when I pressed him. I took detailed notes on this. I wish I had trusted my intuition but because I really trusted the referral, I scheduled my new patient appointment.

There were many red flags but first and foremost, Dr. Woods misdiagnosed the level of my carpal tunnel syndrome. He claimed the ultrasound showed mine was "severe. " I had two other opinions (one from traditional MD and one from another ND) which agreed it was "mild/moderate. "

Frankly, the entire experience was off. While I was in the waiting room (my first time meeting him) he showed me his plans for the new "state-of-art" and "very expensive" (his words) facility he was building. I am aware that I and his patients are paying for this. These treatments are not covered by insurance and his costs are a full 30% higher than anyone else I inquired with for the same treatment. Now I knew why. It definitely wasn't because the care was 30% better!

In the middle of my exam, he called out to his assistant/intern (I'm unclear what to call her) through the door that was cracked open and yelled for her to come "look at this ultrasound! " (Yes, the very same carpal tunnel he misdiagnosed!) Never have I ever had a medical professional invite another person into my exam! And without permission or acknowledgement that this is my exam! I was in too much shock to say anything.

She burst through the door and the two of them excitedly talked as if I wasn't there. I waited for this to be over so she would leave but then the weirdest thing happened: she stayed!

She started unpacking supplies in the exam room, tearing open boxes and putting things away. Even Dr. Woods realized this was inappropriate and asked her to step out of the room. She seemed clueless.

Then when he started to discuss treatment, he was quoting prices that were $400 more per session than what he quoted me on the complimentary consult. When I asked him about it, he said he didn't remember our call. When I pulled out the notes I took during the call, showing what he had said, he got defensive.

He angrily told me he doesn't do a bait and switch. He doesn't remember the call nor what he quoted me. To his credit he gave me the option to leave at that moment and not pay for the appointment. Oh, how I wish I had taken him up on that! My mistake! It cost me $430 and another wasted hour of my time!

His need to sound like an expert went into overdrive! He used words he knew I wouldn't know or understand to try to prove how smart he was. He pulled a book off his shelf, telling me how this was his "go-to" reference. He was pointing to some particular study and I glanced down at the footnote which cited the study from 2012! Who uses research that old and claims it to be relevant, especially in this field? !

There were many other things that were unprofessional in my interactions with him but the final straw for me was this: he told me to schedule two sessions. I tried to justify the extra expense knowing I'd be done after that. When I went to the front desk to schedule, his wife, who runs the office said, "I don't know why he said two because you'll need at least three. " I couldn't trust that his wife was telling me I'd need 3 because I would (and how would she know that since she wasn't in my exam?) or because they need me to have 3 sessions to help pay for their new facility.

Through Dr. Wood's treatments, at 55 I continue to enjoy biking, walking and dancing more than 10 years after traditional medical doctors insisted my only choice was knee replacement - many platelet-rich plasma injections and hydro-dissections on entrapped nerves. Those treatments are across the body so that all the body compensation is addressed in addition to the injured joints. These treatments are nothing short of a enjoy-life-saver for me.

I was referred to Dr. Ryan Wood at Northwest Regenerative Orthopedics by my chiropractor in Portland, Oregon, after I sustained a couple of rock climbing-related injuries: One a tear in my right wrist cartilage, and the other a ligament tear under my right big toe. In both cases, after two Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections and some rehab activities I perform at home, Dr. Wood and I have noticed significant improvement in my joints and the healing of the soft tissues therein. I received my third injection (of three) last week and am on the road to recovery.

As a scientist, rock climber, and healthy living advocate, I have found great confidence in Dr. Wood and the work he does. I believe my wrist and toe will be much better off after these treatments, versus not doing anything and letting them "heal" on their own. I highly recommend that people with soft tissue/joint issues seek Dr. Wood's care (or similar PRP injection treatment in other areas).

Also notable were Dr. Wood's assistants in the office, Kaylie and Libby, who both contributed strongly to the positive energy in the office and made me feel as comfortable as I possibly could (given that I was being poked with needles!). Thank you, Northwest Regenerative Orthopedics!

Before seeing Dr. Wood, I suffered for over eight years with acute pain from trigeminal neuralgia, damage to a facial nerve. Pain was sometimes so severe I couldn't speak, and medications were ineffective. Dr. Wood administered a pain block, and though it took more than one injection, I've been pain and discomfort free for months. It's been miraculous, and I'm so grateful for his expertise.

I've been receiving prolotherapy injections for 17 years because I have a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos. Dr. Wood is the 4th prolo/Platelet Rich Plasma doctor I have worked with in Oregon and is by far the best! His knowledge of anatomy and use of high tech ultrasound is able to accurately target the troubled areas. After dislocating the same knee 6 times, other doctors told me I needed a full knee replacement at age 42. However, after PRP & Stem Cell injections, I was able to avoid the knee surgery (and that was 7 years ago.) Dr. Wood also helped me avoid rotator cuff surgery after I tore that. He listens, educates, and presents all the options for the patient to choose from. His nerve blocks have taken away my pain and his Stellate Ganglion Blocks have removed decades of suffering from anxiety and PTSD. He was the first to suspect I had a cerebral spinal fluid leak and sent me to the correct neurosurgeon to get that fixed. I feel younger at age 49 than I did at age 29 when all my health issues started to unravel my body. Dr. Wood has been an answer to prayer for myself and my family. So grateful for his passion to keep researching, learning, and desiring to help people. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone with tissue, bone, pain, and PTSD issues. Thanks, Dr. Wood!

Dr. Ryan saved me from multiple surgeries. The first surgery was for "severe" arthritis in my feet. I had done the steroid injection through another doctor but they quit working. Dr. Ryan started PRP therapy once a month for 3 months. I now only go back for my feet as needed.
The other surgeries that I didn't have to go through were for 2nd and 3rd degree ligament tears in both hips and knees. Once again PRP therapy once a month for 3 months. I am now able to walk future than I have in years.
Dr. Ryan is very caring and highly educated in his field. He knows how to explain things so that they are more easily understood.
I highly recommend him.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Wood. I had been suffering from severe anxiety and Panic attacks brought on by long covid. Dr Wood really takes the time to understand his patients. He is a great listener and very well informed on treatment protocols. I ended up getting the Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) and my panic attacks are completely gone, and anxiety is reduced by 90+%. To say it was life changing is almost an understatement. I have since developed MCAS - again from long covid and had another SGB done a few days ago. Since that procedure, I have not had any symptoms from MCAS. Dr Wood and his Wife are an amazing team that I would not hesitate to go back to again. I'm 57 years old and will say he is BY FAR the best doctor I have seen throughout my life.

Treatment with Dr. Wood goes beyond the expectations of todays standard client/patient interaction. There is a deep analysis of current pain/restriction as well as a thorough analysis of past diagnoses and treatment. The detail here is key. Dr. Wood goes beyond what has been done and looks to what is possible. A thorough treatment plan is decided and agreed upon and realistic timeframe/healing is discussed. Treatment is aggressive, but helpful. Dr. Wood is a visionary and his team is warm, open and caring.
