Northwest Whitewater Adventures

We went whitewater rafting this past Saturday on the North Santiam river with our guide Kyle. Kyle was nice and attentive. He was also very patient with our younger son with his questions…. The food was good. Nice touch for providing us with a wet suit. That was an unusually chilly day for August and a wet suit kept us warm. Thank you for a wonderful day with my family!

This was our first experience rafting and it was top notch! Our guide was experienced, safe and made it fun. Will be going again but for the full day, totally worth it!

We booked the 2 hour afternoon trip on the Santiam River and had a fabulous experience! Booked the trip online, email communications kept us informed of every detail we needed to know. The river was cool and refreshing on a hot summer day, the rapids (ranging from Class 1 - 3) were exhilarating, our guide Matthew was the best. The cliff jump and photos were the perfect ending. Great experience Chris was very prompt helping us plan the rafting trip, great employees wonderful people made the river rafting a memorable experience.

Great value, all 4 of us had an absolute blast and immediately began planning a 2nd float. Calvin, our guide solidified what our goals were, and delivered in a big way, choosing lines and keeping us on the edge of our raft/seats.

Make sure to read the emails for the correct location to meet, and be timely.

We had the best time! There isn't much more to say that other reviewers haven't said. Cal was our guide on the full day trip and he was top notch. We took teens and they LOVED it. Food was 5-star, they were super responsive before, the day-of, and after, and the photos they emailed us are priceless. Highly recommend this crew!

My sister and I had the best time on this adventure with our guide, Matt! Chris was super cool and took some really great (and hysterical) pictures of our trip! The only thing I would recommend is, if you are questioning the shorter or longer trip. Go for the longer one! 2 hours was great, but we wanted more! 10/10 would recommend over and over!

My friends and I had a great time on our full day rafting trip. It was our first time doing it, but we were in good hands. Bonus points to the lunch - we had a delicious BBQ half-way through the trip. Thanks for the great day!

The Santiam trip was great! Chris and the guides were super fun & professional (special props to Jose!) Full day included an amazing lunch - Steaks and chicken were on point. Highly recommend NWA!

Loved everything about our trip! This was my first time. We all had a great time. Our guide Kyle was amazing and very fun to be with. We are definitely going back and requesting to have Kyle as our guide again!

Such a great day! We did a half day excursion on the North Santiam River. This is our first time on this stretch of water (most of our rafting trips have been on the Deschutes). Weather was perfect. The river is absolutely beautiful with mostly Class III rapids + one Class IV. Max is an extremely knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humor and kept us entertained the entire time! Hoping we can get in at least one more trip before end of summer. Highly recommend booking through these guys! They are the BEST!

We had a great time last week with NWA on the Santiam River. Our guide Kyle was great and was a lot of fun. The scenery was wonderful and relaxing. We did the full day trip which included a lunch big enough for kings. Steaks, marinated chicken and all kinds of sides and salads. Way more than I was expecting and it was great.

The water was cold but really refreshing. The water level was a little low when were ran the river but we had some fun spots that got us wet and even tossed my 18 year old daughter into the water.

I would recommend this trip if you are in the area and want to have a fun day.

Just completed our second trip with Northwest Whitewater on the Santiam. It’s a great family trip because it’s a balance of enough real class iii rapids and still safe for all. The team takes care of everything and makes the trip focused on enjoyment. Super nice people. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Calvin did a great job leading our raft! We had new and experienced rafters and everyone had a great time!

We have enjoyed two trips with Northwest Whitewater Adventures and both were awesome. The NWA team are very professorial and make sure everyone has a great time and that everyone is safe and sound at the end of the trip. Highly recommended.

Chris Lessick has been guiding people down the upper Clackamas River for nearly ten years. He does a great job with attention to both fun & safety! Come and rock the river with Northwest Whitewater Adventures!

Had the chance to check out NWA's Raft and Brewery tour, totally gorgeous river run and gotta love finishing with a big tall perfect pint (or three) of Oregon's specialty: craft beer! My float was with Chris, Calvin and Max.three of the coolest and capable guides you'll ever get!
