I have been seeing Dr. Shamloo since October 2019 and my quality of life has changed drastically since. I had been experiencing chronic pain for a long time, so much that it became my “norm”. I came to Dr. Shamloo in an incredible amount of pain. Dr. Shamloo's adjustments have been life changing for me. I'm still a work in progress, but my quality of life has risen dramatically.

Using the X-ray machine and other equipment on site Dr. Shamloo was able to immediately diagnose a neck injury that I had no idea about, but was causing me severe and chronic pain. No running around town and having to come back just to discuss the X-rays.

I am so thankful that I was referred to Dr. Shamloo by my naturopath. I had been struggling with neck pain for a year, and my regular chiropractor just couldn’t fix the problem. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bejian Shamloo (Upper Spine Northwest), and I honestly don't know where my upper spine's health would be at this point if I had not found him!

When I first came to see Dr. Shamloo in early July 2019, I was a mess and in a tremendous amount of pain. My neck issues are not due to an injury, but reached a severity in early May that had me out of work and unable to function normally. I was afraid to go to sleep at night because of the excruciating nerve and muscular pain I'd wake with up all throughout my neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Most nights I tossed and turned sleepless, trying to get comfortable. Most mornings I was literally in tears from the pain. I had severe numbness and tingling in my left hand/arm. My neck and arm muscles spasming most of the time. I had lost most of the strength in my left tricep and partially in my right. I could barely lie down or sit up from the pressure on my neck, and has resorted to standing most of the day to stay *somewhat* comfortable. I couldn't sit at a computer or use my phone, and I could barely drive. I had gotten an MRI, and seen my GP and a neurosurgeon who both diagnosed me with Cervical Radiculopathy caused from Degenerative Disc Disease, pretty severe (for my age) arthritis in my cervical spine, Spinal Stenosis and bulging discs in my C5-C7 vertebrae. The neurosurgeon advised a disc replacement for C6-C7. I was freaked out and very confused since I've been a yoga practitioner my whole life I'm very active (running and walking) and I stay as healthy as I can. But, all of a sudden I was on several pain medications and muscle relaxers to get me through the day and night, and that was a *very* unpleasant way to live. I could barely talk about my new "chronic condition" without breaking into tears!

I was referred to Dr. Shamloo from a trusted source, but although I had seen other chiropractors in the past and I *much* prefer alternative medicine/modalities, I had my doubts if a chiropractor would be able to help since everything felt so deeply severe and serious. Immediately, I could tell Dr. Shamloo was not just "another chiropractor"! From his warm and friendly demeanor and the insightful and refreshingly holistic questions on his intake paperwork, to the care and time he spent during my evaluation, I immediately felt more hopeful. We began a treatment plan that worked best for my life, and let me say, I am *so* happy I have been under Dr. Shamloo's exceptional care for the last seven weeks. It is mid-August 2019 now, and I feel like a different person in so many positive ways. It took only about 3 sessions for the numbness and tingling to subside dramatically, and the nerve pain at night/in the morning was becoming more and more manageable. I was able to cut back on my pain medication slowly, and I am now completely off of them! Today, the night/morning nerve pain is completely gone. Yes, *completely gone*! I am in disbelief! I have mild intermittent tingling and numbness in my arms and hands, but mostly when I catch myself in poor posture (stooping, crouching, crossing my legs for too long, etc.). Further, I do believe that through participating in Dr. Shamloo's treatment, I was able to tap into my body's natural intelligence easier, enabling me to make sound lifestyle adjustments which have helped my overall health tremendously. I saw my neurosurgeon for a follow up two weeks ago and almost cried (from joy this time!) in his office when explaining how much better I was feeling. He agreed surgery was not necessary at this time. What a relief! There really are no words.

I will be continuing my treatment with Dr. Shamloo until he is certain my adjustments are holding correctly, and will absolutely see him on an ongoing "tune-up" basis. I am deeply grateful and amazed by how quickly and positively I responded to his gentle and focused treatment. I *highly* recommend Upper Spine Northwest without reservation. Prior to my visit with Dr. Shamloo, I suffered from dizziness and migraines. Other doctors offered pain medication but nothing else. Dr. Shamloo did a thorough examination and was able to identify the cause of my symptoms. He explained my spinal issues in detail and put together a complete treatment plan to correct them. Since working with him, I am symptom free. I also enjoy my sessions with him. He is personable and calm, which makes it easier to relax when I get adjustments. I couldn't recommend him more.

Over the years, I’ve seen 4 chiropractors with zero relief. All treated me as a dollar sign and a number. To say I was extremely skeptical meeting with Dr. Shamloo would be an understatement. Best Chiropractor I've ever been to. Only one that has been able to pop my neck and start getting me into alignment. I have severe scoliosis as well as a business that does physical work and going to Dr. Shamloo has helped a lot with neck and back pain. He understands the spine and neck better than any of the other chiropractors I've been to and does the job right, taking x-rays and keeping up with me to make sure I'm being aligned as often as my job and back problems necessitate.
