This is a sacred place for our extended family. Our Dad used to work at Ollalie during the 50s while he was at college. Some of the many layers of paint on those green boats came from him. Those boats have so much old paint you could remove the wood and they would still float! Old school craftsmanship is another thing that adds charm to the place, in addition to the glory of being tech-free like camping was ALWAYS meant to be.

Since at least the early 70s, multiple generations of our family would get together at a particular campsite area with our trailers and RVs and stay right at the water. This is where I learned my love for camping, and my lifelong appreciation of Olallie’s peaceful solitude.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Yes, the gravel road is rough, but the best things in life are EARNED. If you can’t live without tech, this is not the place for you. If you like peaceful time for quiet contemplation, this is your oasis.

This is the BEST PLACE to go camping, fishing, hiking or even boating and shopping. I've been going there for many years and I just love it.always have to buy something though hahaha. Just a reminder they don't take debit or credit cards its CASH OR A WRITTEN CHECK ONLY! So don't forget your check book or cash because it's a long ways out too the nearest ATM. BUT you will love this place its Awesone. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Off the grid and so very quiet. And the view of Mt. Jefferson looming over the crystal-clear waters of Olallie is breathtaking!

Really nice place. Kinda hard to get to with all the holes in the road. But once you get up there, it's an amazing place. Big lake trout and the camp sites are very clean

The Road! Don't plan on getting there with your kidneys in tacked. We came in from ther North and found this place by mistake. Saw a few PCT hikers hanging around, grabbed some snacks and continued on south down an old forestry rd. Took about 2hrs to get back out. The road was just short of an old fire break going out. Lots of rocks! Never again.

This place used to be great. If all you want is a view n hiking great place. If you want a decent road, or maybe some fishing, good luck best go somewhere else.

Used to love this place and horseshoe lake but this place is just to far to drive 3 years in a row and there not be any fish or decent roads.

Plenty of new places to experience. I think this place will be a place of the past.

The setting is amazing overlooking Olallie Lake and Mt. Jefferson. The road into the resort is not well suited for cars so beware. I really hope the road gets even worse to stop the crowds. The store is nice with tackle, shirts, with food and drinks.

Rented a paddle boat at first. Realized that it was slow so I asked if I can trade at no charge! They did and it was awesome! Got a Canoe! Great staff Great Lake!

This place is a hidden gem, and I hesitate posting a review only because I want it to stay that way. That said, you owe it to yourself to go.

No words can adequately describe how magnificent this place is. Dianne and her family that now own the resort are the nicest and most wonderful people. They are super friendly and made the reservation process and stay wonderful.

No cell service or.electricity are just two bonuses here. Paired with great fishing and the most beautiful landscapes, you will have a wonderful time where the outside world can't reach you to bother you.

Great place to stay. Completely off the grid, no power or cell service. Cabins are great and have oil lamps for light at night along with wood fireplaces. Great fishing all around the lake (No motors). And you may see lots of hikers passing through on their journey from Mexico to Canada. This is a very peaceful and relaxing place to visit and they have a good general store with plenty of food and drink options. Cash only.

The road to get there is rough but we'll worth it. We took the kayaks and explored the lake. Make sure to bring some bug spray. The water is very clear can and with the mountain in the back ground awesome. We checked in to rentals I thought it was very inexpensive for boats and cabins. A place the hole family can have some fun. We didn't fish but heard it was good.

People complain about the road.it's out in the middle of nowhere, it keeps the jerks away. Are YOU going to pay to pave it?
People complain about no cell reception.it's out in the middle of nowhere, you don't NEED a phone when you're on vacation. That's the whole point of going to a place like this anyway. To get AWAY.
People complain about no swimming.there are LOTS of nearby swimming holes you can hike to. Isn't that why you're going to a place like this anyway.to hike and see the outdoors?

If you want room service, cell service, a WalMart and gas station nearby, then this isn't the place for you. Which is great for the few of us left on the planet that don't NEED that 24/7.
