I am a Nail Tech as well and very picky because I want to be taken care off as I take care of my clients. Pam just exceeded my expectations. She understood what I wanted about my experience, and went above and beyond. She made my fingernails look so beautiful (as a nail tech they are my canvas so they were a little uncared for) and for my pedi experience I did NOT feel like my feet had been washed and polished. She worked on my toenails and cuticles, used a callus softener and gentle foot file and electronic file to smooth my calluses. Her massage was so great and relaxing. I was falling asleep and that never happens! Her salon is open, inviting, great music and atmosphere. Totally coming back. I finally found who can take care of me and remind me of the importance of self care. They use high quality products. Thank you Pam!

I had my first gel manicure (from a different salon) and it was just not for me. Jocelyn expertly and painlessly got them off (and they were thicc!) and gave me exactly what I wanted- a beautiful, natural looking manicure. It was so reasonably priced especially given the mess I showed up with. Jocelyn also just a super pleasant, easy to be around, salt of the earth person. I had a lovely experience. See you next time!

I came across Opaque Nails while searching for an excellent nail salon in Portland and I’m so thankful I did! Pam is the owner of the salon and has done a great job setting up an inviting atmosphere to experience high quality nail services. My nail technician was Jocelyn and she is amazing! I’d never tried gel nails and was uncertain how they work but both Pam and Jocelyn showed me how easy it is to have your own beautiful nails. I highly recommend this nail salon!

The best nail salon/studio I’ve ever been too! I’m from California and unfortunately they do not have salons or nail technicians like they do at Opaque who care about the well being of your nails, hands and feet. Not only did they do a tremendous job on my gel mani/pedi but my hands and feet have never been taken care of and felt soft days after. Highly recommend!

I have known Pam for many years and have followed her through her career. It is always an amazing treat to get any service done by her. My nails look amazing and I feel amazing after every visit. She takes so much care in her knowing her clients, selecting the best products and in her artistry. I trust no one else like Pam!

Pam is super professional, I love that she takes her time, the service never feels rush. The space is so chill and love all the plants and the vibe. I like that while staying trendy with the latest colors and the seasons I don't feel overwhelmed with choices of colors to pick from for my nails. An overall great experience for your nails!

Pam is very detail oriented and cares genuinely about the health of your nails! Manis & pedis feel so lux and customized. Pam has a certain amount of time scheduled out for each service so it’s never rushed and trying to take multiple people at once. She’s so kind and funny which makes the experience that much better. I highly recommend Opaque Nail Studio, one part of the Beauty Session Collective, for their serene and modern space, a secret urban jungle tucked away in the center of the city. Because it’s by appointments only, Phamala, the nail artist, is never rushing to get me out the door so she can get to her next client. I know that when I go to Opaque, I will be relaxed and pampered for entire time.

The manicures and pedicures at Opaque are more than just manicures and pedicures. Phamala is full of nail health knowledge, truly pampering each client with thoughtfully products and tools to ensure that my nails and cuticles will be looking good even after I leave. I always get excited to use the complimentary jojoba oil in between my visits to keep my nails in good condition.

Last, and the best part to me, is that she is truly a nail artist. I walk away with amazing nails that will turn heads EVERY SINGLE TIME. Whether it’s a simple single color mani or an exquisite set of nail art, I am always feeling good and in love! I tend to bite my nails and have brought in some pretty tough and jagged canvases for her.but she works her magic and make my nails look like a million dollars every time. It’s worth every penny and minute to set a routine get your nails refreshed at Opaque Nail Studios.

Let me first start this off by saying that I came to Pam in need of desperate help. I had a horrible experience at a different Nail Salon in which the nail tech left my toe nail infected and I developed a Paronychia. I had to go see a podiatrist and had to remove half of my toenail. I was devastated and frankly, embarrassed, with no sense of where to go to make my toe nails presentable again. We were in the heat of summer, and I did not want to wear a band-aid for the next 6-8 months while my nail grew back. I just found myself not able to trust your every day nail salons to help me with my situation.

I have been going to the Beauty Session Collective since it's opened, and have had my brows done by Monica since. I don't even know. It's been a really long time. So I was already familiar with the space when I heard of Opaque joining. I love the vibe there, it's so clean and fresh.

I reached out to Pam and told her my situation. She was highly recommended and she helped educate me and let me know my options. I went to see her and she took such great care of my feet and hands. She uses products that are not harsh and you can feel that she really cares about her work and only uses the best products with ingredients that are top notch. She used the gel extension technique to make my toenail whole again. You can tell her artistry took over because it really was like she was sculpting a piece of art to make my toe look normal again (haha!). (Fun fact, she has a degree in the arts, and she is an artist.) My shame had disappeared. She really gave me the confidence I needed, back.

I really appreciate the attention to detail, the education and the time and care that Pam puts into each and every session and client. You can relax and not feel like you're in a nail chop shop. I highly recommend her!
