We have stayed one night at a very charming property in Gleneden Beach, Starry Night house. The property shows a hot tub but it’s empty. I called the office of OBV and they said the owner pulled it. Ok, then why do we have excessive misc fees. Also, 6 people and 3 nights but they give us a total of 2 garbage can liners. I am glad I am here but really?

This vacation property located at 5143 NE 50th Street Devils Lake, Lincoln City, Oregon was so bad we forfeited a large amount of money just to not stay there. The house was dirty, the back yard was a jungle of briars and sticker bushes. The bathroom was such that I would not wash my dog in it the bedrooms were small and beds looked like they had not been changed in weeks along with a smell I could not quite put my finger on. The road leading to the house was a dirt rut filled mess and the drive way was even worse, I had to use my four wheel drive just to get up it. I can't imagine why any company would represent this property. Lastly, please do not trust the pictures of this home, they are completely misleading.book this vacation home at your own peril.

I recently stayed at Pacific Breeze in Lincoln City Jan. 21,2021 - Jan. 24,2021 and upon the time we were supposed to check in (4: 00) were told that we were not able to check in until 6: 30-7. Upon entering the bedrooms one of the girls sat on the bottom bunk bed and it broke. The stove didn’t half work, there was 2 rolls of toilet paper in the whole house, the downstairs has zero heat, fireplace downstairs also doesn’t work for more than 2 minutes if it turns on at all, there was no firewood provided for outside fireplace, the water heater needs to be fixed as the showers didn’t stay hot for more than 3-4 minutes, the pullout couches downstairs were also missing springs so it would sink at random points during the night, the hot tub didn’t get to the temp it was supposed to until our second night there, the sauna stopped heating up correctly after about a day or so. Upon arrival there is a sign downstairs that says max car limit is 7, but we got a call saying there was 9 cars in the driveway (there wasn’t) and that if they werent moved they would be towed. I forgot my keys at the beach house and have repeatedly called and called and everyone keeps giving me excuses as to why they haven’t found them yet, the house wasn’t that big it shouldn’t take over a week to find them. I also was lied to about them being in the lost and found and was told they were there, I called back the next day, because the girl didn’t call me back like she said she would, and told the lady I spoke with what happened and couldn’t tell me why the other girl would lie to me. I don’t suggest staying here, it’s not worth the money, and the people at the office will continue to blow you off as though they don’t care.

Reply: I was clearly not the one registered but most definitely stayed there for the weekend and I have pictures for valid proof, there was not 22 people there FYI except for a few short hours, they did not stay the night. There’s no reason to be getting rude

Sad, isn't it, when a property management company could care less about the guest experience, refuses to acknowledge that a property is below par, and hangs onto your money? We rented the Endeavour House in Newport early March 2021. It prominently advertised the Aga stove. It has pictures of a gas fireplace. Arrived to a cold Aga and called the office and someone came out. Later in the evening discovered the living room lights didn't work, the gas fireplace was broken, the kitchen sink faucet sprayed water and the back porch light where the cars are parked was missing. Aga wasn't warm by morning. We called and reported all the issues. The property management firm refunded the further 3 nights but kept back $331 for our one night and our troubles. They have so far refused to make any refund except a 15% discount. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST and if you are a property owner, please consider another management firm that actually cares about its guests, its reputation and letting people enjoy a nice vacation. I'm disgusted.

I used this rental company 12-18-20 through 12-21-20. They illegally evicted us from a rental on the day of my dads Birthday. Her

Today two people from your company came onto the property without consent. Your employees issued me an illegal eviction and gave me one hour to leave the premises. They said I was in violation of my rental agreement and that I had over the allowable 5 car limit. No where in my rental agreement did it state that I was only allowed 5 cars. We were having breakfast, and had family members visiting from another time share rental in town. We were forced to rush to get all of our items out clean the house and pack up breakfast in an hour. There was absolutely no legal basis to evict us and threaten us with law enforcement.

Furthermore, the water heater was out. A technician came out to fix it and was unable to do so. So we were unable to take showers. You offered a 25% discount for the inconvenience.

This rental company is a joke. Do not use!

Update- To receive my 25% discount on my stay that they promised me because the water heater was broke. I have to sign a waiver that says I won't leave a bad review. They already promised the discount and now refuse to give it unless I sign an agreement. Do not rent from this company. They're dirty. The rental didn't even have a valid rental permit. It was expired.

I booked with these guys and my card sent me a fraud alert. They said my card was declined, however I have a very large sum of available credit to me. We show on our end that things have gone through once we told them it wasn’t a fraud but the snarky and unprofessional woman at the front, with zero and I mean zero personality ran it again and it was declined. She told me to call my bank and I explained it’s a credit card to which she sarcastically responded “Well you can call them too “. It’s hard to get good customer service on the Coast but c’mon guys! You’re in the customer service industry. Don’t have people run your front desk who act like they are put out. I’ll be going to Vacasa now.

The customer service won me over from the start. The agent was so patient with explaining everything to me. Once I arrived I couldn't have been more pleased. The condo was right on the beach. It was cozy and incredibly clean. I opened the sliding glass door and let the fresh ocean air blow in. It was equipped with everything that I needed. I am so glad that I chose Oregon Beach Vacations. I will be recommending them to my family and friends and using them again for myself.

I highly recommend Oregon Beach Vacations for your vacation rental service. Our visit to the coast was nothing short of spectacular. Lincoln City is a beautiful place with extraordinary landscapes. We had a lovely view of the beach too. Our vacation property was clean and we had fresh linens and towels. There was a washer and dryer available as well.   With the Covid19 pandemic going on it was wonderful to feel so relaxed staying somewhere so nice and clean. My family will be using Oregon Beach Vacations again for our travel needs.

I recently visited Seaview Condo 403 in Rockaway, OR. The property was absolutely beautiful and the view was incredible. During the rental process customer service was extremely helpful and accommodating. Upon arrival, the condo was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed for our family of six to enjoy our time at the coast. We had a wonderful time on the beach and was the perfect relaxing getaway.

We rented a house up in Lincoln Beach. We were scheduled to get the house at 4: 30 on October 24th. We got a call a hour before we got to the house saying that the house was not ready and it would be delayed till 5: 30 for us to setup. We packed a lot of frozen food and had it on ice? For a 2 hour drive to the beach house. We play at the beach till 5: 30.when we whent to the house it still was not ready and the lady wouldn't give us a time for when she would be done. We called the office phone and were told it was closed. They still charged us full price and did not apologize for The inconvenience.

We played on the beach till it got cold? And the house was still not ready. The lady did not get done cleaning till around 7: 25. We got in the house it was mostly clean. There was sand all over the bathroom floor down stairs by the kitchen. Not all the bathrooms had washcloths to use for bathing. The backyard was not fully fenced in like the pictures made it look. Some of the supplies that They Left behind for us to use were already opened and leaking. The 3 Leather chairs in the living room were not comfortable. The TV had no channels. They had a lot of VHS movies to use and a old VHS player.

It's hard to beat the beach accessibility from this house though. It was quite literally just down the street. That did help pass the time till it got cold. I do realize that the lady doing the house keeping was not Planning on working that late that day. She was going to do housekeeping a lot sooner but either the family before us were very messy or something broke. So her time was thrown off to. We all have to work with life's punches. I was just surprised that no one offered to Reduce the bill a little bit because of the inconvenience.

The house we stayed at was super cute and welcoming. What a great alternative than to stay at a hotel. It was nice to have a home to come back to after spending the day touring the area. The house was clean and stocked with everything that we needed. We enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again in the future.

The Oregon Beach Vacations website described the home I rented as a luxury rental, while the view is spectacular nothing else about the home was luxury. The carpet was stained and torn in place, the yard was nothing but overgrown weeds, the beds are old and uncomfortable and the bbq was broken. The website also indicated this house had a game room with a ping pong table, foosball, air hockey and a pool table.
There was no ping pong table and the foosball table and air hockey were not in working order. To top it off Oregon Beach Vacations was less than gracious when I shared my concerns. I definitely won’t be using Oregon Beach Vacations ever again.

My family and I have had a vacation planned with Oregon Beach Vacations since 2019. We paid in full with two payments like they ask and had to reschedule 30 days before the scheduled date as some events happened and we couldn't make it. Fast forward to June 2020 I get an email saying they charged the credit card $1,037.00 for a "price rise" since its a busy holiday and we changed out dates from Labor Day weekend 2019 to 4th of July 2020. We tried to work it out as we already paid in full but they said nope we are canceling the reservations and refunding the money paid in 2020. NOT THE MONEY PAID in 2019. Please watch you back on booking with them as they will take money from you and than book someone else for the same date!

**update**

You can see by their response the complete apathy of Oregon beach vacations. They are the most unprofessional and poorly run establishmesnt I have ever encountered in the vacation rental industry.

Their employee endangered my entire family by entering into the unit without a mask. The Chamber of Commerse has been contacted for the employees misconduct.

I do not recommend this establishment to anyone!

**Original review**

Let me start by saying the Sandpiper Condos have some amazing views, easy beach access and an overall great room.

However all this was overshadowed by the fact that the place had not been properly cleaned and was absolutely disgusting.

Upon entering the condo at first things seemed fair. The kitchen looked as if it was somewhat kept up and the living room seemed vacuumed and picked up. However, the first thing we noticed is that no inspector came to check on our unit.

“Winter signed the form saying she had cleaned the unit; however, the unit was not clean and was never inspected.

Upon entering the room, we were horrified to discover semen stains all over the bedding. The sheets had large bodily fluid stains and the bedding had food all over it embedded in the fibers.

Pubic hair was on all the pillows and the overall look of the comforter and all associated coverings were absolutely disgusting. Semen, food stains, and hair made me so uncomfortable I could barely sleep in the sheets that my wife and I had to share because we had no blanket. It was one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen at any hotel, condo or resort.

When we contacted Oregon Beach Vacations the next day, they told me they would send someone right away to take care of it. We waited all morning for the cleaning lady to show but she never did. We finally left for lunch and when we returned, we noticed nothing had been done, only a bag of towels on the floor. It wasn’t’ until much later that day that the lady stopped by and simply handed me a bag of new bedding. She didn’t apologize, she didn’t offer to change the bedding, nothing, just handed me the bag of bedding. After I had to change the semen covered bedding myself, I then took it and put it in the closet where it remained for the rest of our visit.

Towards the end of our stay, we were trying to clean up and get some dishes done. The Dishwasher started to leak. I called Oregon Beach Vacations and they told me someone would be right out to fix it. It took the repair man a considerable amount of time to get there, and when he did, he simply handed me a huge bag full of towels and said, “Keep using it and just soak up the water”. I was blown away at the lack of professionalism and complete apathy from the company and the repair man. Also the repair man entered our unit without a mask which is at this time mandated in Lincoln County.

The disgusting and appalling state of the bedding and the fact that I had to change it myself was unacceptable. Then to add to that it was left all week in my closet (gross). The repair man’s complete apathy and the fact that he put my family at risk by not abiding by the rules and wearing a mask is unprofessional and just plain wrong. Oregon Beach Vacations is literally destroying the Sandpiper condo a little bit at a time and it's reputation along with it.

I will be writing a formal complaint to the Oregon Chamber of Commerce regarding Oregon Beach Vacations due to the lack of professionalism and the fact that they entered my room without a mask and violated the county mandate putting my family at risk.

Do yourself a favor and do not use this company even if the prices seem tempting.

I had reserved a unit from Oregon Beach Vacations for our extended Family visiting from California to ensure that we abide by social distancing protocol. It was not until yesterday 6/7/2020 that a Family Member notified us of dirty bedding at the house (at the night of their arrival.)

The Family Member had been hesitant to share that the bedding in the bed at the top of the stairs had hair and tons of sand, as he did not want to sound unappreciative of my gift of renting the unit for their stay. As a temporary solution, he went to the store to purchase a sleeping bag, as he was unable to locate clean bedding at the property. I immediately reported this via the Airbnb platform (the method of booking) upon him notifying me of the unsanitary conditions.

The response I had received was denial of the incident, along with quote, "We normally add an inspector name to the card only 1 to 2 days before the stay. " My written request to file an official complaint with issues of sanitation and health concerns was disregarded and never addressed.

The housekeeper was listed to be John Bx, with the cleaning completed on 3/22/2020 (more than two months prior to my extended Family's stay.) The cleaning was not inspected, as the remainder of the form was blank. I had attached to the written request the picture of the incomplete form.

The property management company had touted additional check out steps to ensure the safety of its workers, yet failed to provide the laundry bags referenced in the instructions. The Family ultimately had to resort to bagging the used linens in garbage bags, as it was apparent the company lacked the business integrity to uphold its promises to care for the housekeepers during the pandemic.

There are prominent concerns of sanitation and health safety with business operations, especially amidst a public health crisis. Please consider other property management companies when visiting the Oregon Coast.

We were forced to cancel due to the shelter in place order and they said we will forfeit a $99.00 “reservation fee”. What a joke! Never again.
