Quite the place very first time I went there I've never ridden in the elevator before and I didn't realize just how much of a historical place the elevator area was until that day when I examined it for the first time it's a place where you keep going to think clear your head and just be yourself.

Interesting elevator. Better to go to
Watch the sunset and watch bats fly around. It’s actually pretty clean. The view isn’t spectacular but interesting enough. It is unique and the walk from it is nice. If you are in the Oregon city area this is a nice walk with the river view! Check it out!

Great time, took a friend that had lived here all his life but had never seen the elevator and we both learned a lot about it, great experience!

I went here because one of my kids is obsessed with elevators and both my kids enjoyed going up and down a couple of times. I can't say the view was incredible, the river is surrounded by horrible old factories. My understanding is that half of them will be demolished and they will hopefully build something more appealing. The very nice employee of the elevator recommended a little walk that gave us a better view of the river.

This is a great way to get to a walk above the city. Right now you can see the progress of revitalizing the city happen before your eyes. To the north everything is new and to the south you can see what is coming up soon to be renovated over the next ten years. This would be great to check out on a regular basis.
Also at the top of the elevator is a historical set of pictures showing past to now of what parts of the city have looked like. The information guy was super nice and knowledgeable.

Hands down my favorite part of Oregon City, aside from the old bluff viewpoint. One of the best historical monuments in Oregon City in my opinion, anyone will love it.

The Oregon City Municipal Space Port is always a step ahead! Even on this primitive planet you'll find intergalactic ameninitties that you're used to every where else! There is a nice human wanting you're leftover food at the entrance, he made my Paneer disappear like no other!

Wasn’t able to go up the elevator but the picture were cool and the surrounding area was really cool. Got that old small town vibe.

An interesting and quirky futuristic looking municipal elevator. Pedestrians can take it to access the upper Hill above downtown Oregon City.

Always fun to visit the elevator and take a ride. Great views of Oregon City and when it's a clear day you can see Mt. Saint Helen's.

Must take the elevator to see the birdview of the city. The staff is also friendly and can tell you where to go. The elevator can access to McLaughlin promenade, which is a great place to walk and relax.

My Family did a little Fun, Adventurous Walkabout in O. C!

We parked in a Free Parking lot above the Elevator.

We Strolled along the Paved Promenade and had a Wonderful View of the Willamette River, the Falls, and Surrounding Areas, then Crossed the Walkers Overpass, above the Tunnel.

Back at the Elevator,
We were Amazed by an Incredible Indoor Picture Gallery depicting Our Beloved Town,
100 years ago, when there were Horses and Wagons on Dirt Roads!

The Elevator took us Downtown, where we Gazed upon Our Beautifully Painted Old Town Buildings and eventually landed at McMenamins for a Delicious Lunch.

We are So Blessed to Live
in Oregon City; the First City, at the End of the Oregon Trail ️

It's an elevator. I guess five stars since it was clean and there was no wait. On top, there are little bits of information and some cool pictures.

Kind of cool they don't charge. Some old 3D like photos at the bottom and top that are historical. Take a walk along the promande to Williamette Falls overlook.

Ok, this was fun. It's just an elevator.with history. It's got a late art deco feel and they've done something unique with the historical images donning it's halls. They all have lenticular printing which causes them to change with angle. It's interesting and unique.

At the bottom you're near all the downtown shopping and the bridge, but there's not much else to it. At the top they have a nice 180 degree view of Oregon City. The windows have line drawings of the view to show points of interest.

A good part of any walk through downtown Oregon City.

First time here in over forty plus year in Oregon! I never knew what this was until talking with someone a month ago. Beautiful view and the employee (guy) was helpful and friendly!

Amazing! I was totally impressed by the big 3-D photo display showing the construction of the elevator and the evolution of the city through the decades, using the incredible view as the backdrop! Whew! That sentence was WAY too long, but that shows the excitement level I had while I was there. Views of Portland unlike any other! And it's free!

Cool old 1950's elevator.that saves time walking down the hill. Definitely go see it, if you're in the Oregon City Area!

Interesting solution to get to a vertical neighborhood. Nice views of the town, river and falls from the Promenade at the top.
