OREGON CITY RECORDS reviews
8Always great finds and prices. Guy is always nice to the people who are in the shop. Unfortunately got into the car after stopping and eating and my whole car smells like cigarettes like the shop kinda did when I was in there.
I have visited this record store only a handful of times, but each time has been very special. The time depicted by the few photos which I include here was a special event in October 2021 which this store has put on very few times, namely a live music gig inside the store. I'm told that more of these are forthcoming, and I hope that I will be able to be present for those. I met the store owner Tory each time I visited, and he is not only very knowledgeable about these vinyl gems, but is truly pleasant and wonderful to work with, such as in trying to find a certain artist or genre amongst the thousands of titles contained herein. In my lifetime, I have been to only a few such record stores on the West Coast, some in Portland, some in Burbank CA. Without any question, this one is my favorite. The atmosphere and the way albums are presented is just right for losing oneself to the process of wandering through musical history as your fingers do the walking through hundreds of album covers. I'll be back, and it can't be soon enough. [Note: I purchased a few albums during each visit, and I need to say that if you look hard enough, you will certainly find some real gems here].
Cool little record store stuffed with stacks and stacks of used vinyl. The records are reasonably priced. Very nice folks run the place. Great for locals and folks just starting to get into vinyl. Unfortunately, I only saw an abundance of middling records from middling bands.mostly pre 90s. Same stuff you will find filling any used record store anywhere. Nothing interesting or unique here. Definitely not worth driving out of your way for if you're the collector type. The "New Arrivals" section is too massive to be that unless its new arrivals over the last year. The store is haphazardly organized so browsing is a total chore.
One of the most honest and trustworthy merchants ive ever worked with. A must visit when in Oregon City.
Thanks Tory!
Epic local record shop. Good people. Great music. Not ur typical elitist/ hipster vinyl spot. Just music with nice normal honest folk. Highly recommend. Worth the stop.
Just a great little record store in Oregon City's main drag downtown. Low prices and lots of inventory - one of those places where if you dig through the stacks long enough you will definitely find some hidden gems.
Best record store I've ever been to. Owners are the best people you'll meet! Friendly atmosphere and good selection of quality records, at reasonable prices.
I'm very happy to see record albums coming back. The Oregon city shop has records, Cds, 8 track tapes, cassettes tapes. It reminds me of my teenage days going into Tower records. Hell the prices for albums are just like what they were in the late 70s and 80s. If your looking for records to add to your collection than come and visit this record shop if your in Oregon city
