Oregon Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Treatment Clinic reviews
4Do not come here! I didn't believe the reviews and now I'm out 3k with a Lenire device that doesn't work for me. The doctor was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional when I called to discuss returning the device. I have a voicemail I'll be keeping to document this. Therefore you can trust the other reviews on this matter. I checked with the office to make sure that I could return the device prior to purchasing it and received confirmation back via email. Unless your 100% sure the device will work for you and you're not wasting 3k DO NOT GET IT HERE!
I had a bad experience trying to make an appointment. First time I called I was told to call back to talk to Marcia. Second time I talked to a new staff member who told me to call at a certain time and I did, still couldn't talk to her. 3rd time in the same day I called back and got Marcia and she was quite annoyed that I calked 3 times. Explained to her that her employee told me to call. She argued with me about it, didn't believe that and was quite rude and declined her services to me. Surprised by her unprofessional actions as a Doctor. Anybody who is familiar with hyperaccusis knows how debilitating it is and how there is little help out there. Thought it might be a fluke how she acted but after reading another review I dont think it was a fluke.
Marsha Johnson lost the devices after we paid our 900.00 deposit. She then missed several appointments during my trial 30 day window with the devices. She was apologetic the first time, then nasty and rude after that, then sent rambling emails (to my personal account, not over portal) blaming us for her offices mistakes. We did not have any in person coaching (covid restrictions have allowed it for months now). We had basic info from the one phone appointment she did manage to make it to, but we were struggling with the devices, which were causing pain and worsening of symptoms and needed the assistance that was promised to us. I am disabled during to head trauma. I have a learning disability and expressed to them that I require the help they originally offered and they simply did not care.
They brag that they are the only ones in the state who treats hyperacusis and I have nowhere else to turn for care. But Marsha Johnson did not take decent care of her patient here. So I have no choice but to return the devices and suffer debilitating hyperacusis without hope of treatment. All because she behaves like a petty child, throwing tantrums over e mail, and practices medicine ego first, patient last.
