Was super disappointed with this hotel that my partner and I thought would be a decent find for our anniversary on New Years Eve. After a long day of driving about 7 hours, we checked in to our room to find that it had a decent view but was really beaten up and uncomfortably disgusting. The bottom of the curtains were black - maybe growing mold. The shower head had a lot of gross buildup caked on it, and the faucet from the tub had a constant and loud drip. There was an unknown sticky residue left on one of the night stand tables. It was so uncomfortable that we wound up leaving and canceling our anniversary plans to drive another 6 hours home on New Years Eve just to be able to take a shower and be comfortable. Didn’t even bother trying to talk from the front desk person who seemed nice enough but genuinely did not care about their job - just left as quickly as we could. Truly so sad to be so grossed out to miss out on our plans in beautiful gold beach.

We stayed at the pacific reef hotel 2 weeks ago. We woke up to everything covered in ants. We had an entire pizza and all our food destroyed by ants. The staff shrugged it off and said “it’s that time of year”. I went back again to see if there was anything a manager could do, I was told I would receive call and email. That never happened. I wouldn’t recommend staying here as they obviously do not care about customer satisfaction.

Sorry, I didn't take any pics. But it was a super cool place. The spa was nice. You could drive down to the beach access area on their property. Which I liked best

One of the most pleasant hotel rooms that I have stayed in for the price. The room was spacious and clean. I appreciated the small kitchenette, especially since we frequently arrived late enough that the local restaurants were closed. Great beach access, pet friendly.

The hotel is in a good location, lots of food around it. Close to the river etc. The room was decent, the shower had good water pressure. However. This light show they talk about. Ummm. We stayed up and went to it, it was a commercial for Oregon projected onto a screen. They did have a few LED lights scattered around that would change from green to blue. But its certainly not a light show.

I was happy to find a nice
place to stay with a great
location and a recently renovated room.

The hotel has a number of options with family suites, condos, economy motel
rooms, and ocean front
rooms.

I stayed in the small ocean
view traditional room with
a microwave, refrigerator,
a table, HDTV, free Wi-Fi
and a small bathroom.

You will find an indoor hot
tub, an outdoor theater and lightshow, ice machine, and
a trail to the beach with
amazing sunsets.

A small breakfast bag is
available in the morning
with a muffin and some
snacks.

The small room was near
a parking lot for the oceanfront
rooms, and the shower was
small with no room to turn
around.

Located on Ellensburg
Avenue (Hwy 101) in Gold Beach near 10th Street and
across from the Union 76
gas station.

A nice place to stay in
Gold Beach with rooms
for every budget, a nice
beach to walk on and a hot
tub to soak in.

Its a steep beach, definitely don't swim, but a great beach for the dogs. We loved it.

Our room was clean but it had some wear and tear. Our view was wonderful and hearing the ocean was therapeutic. No light show as most of the lights have broke, so maybe take that off your name

I was a little disappointed. The last room they had was $278 including tax. The room definitely needed a little TLC upkeep and some paint. There’s no reason they can’t do this. I actually had family that live there I could’ve stayed with, but I wanted to support a local business.

It was a pretty decent place to stay. I had an upstairs condo unit. Nice balcony and a nice view of the Pacific Ocean. The rooms were definitely kept clean. I would have been nice to have been closer to some restaurants that I could walk to and enjoy adult beverage as the town has no Rideshare or taxi service. Overall it was a pleasant stay. I would stay there again.

Excellent Location right by the side of the sea shore. Picturesque settings, excellent view from sit out. Value for Money. Ample Car Parking. We started off by 8am, Grab and Go BF was not ready. Nevertheless, this is an Ideal place on this Pacific Coast highway.

Likely the worst place we stayed on our journeys. Room was tired and worn, fixtures rusty and corroded, grout dirty in shower, bathroom overall was disgusting, sink coming loose.
Room was advertised as a queen bed, which it was not - 54 inch wide mattress is a full size - queen is 60 inches - front desk clerk had the audacity to argue with me about whether it was a queen or not. Felt like we were treated poorly.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The US is currently very expensive and that also applies to a room in this motel (170 dollars), you get a clean simple room without a well-functioning ac, the fridge also works moderately. No ocean view, but parking lot view, breakfast is for to go and is not much. Staff nice, but all in all way overpriced for what you get.

Service was okay. Room was extremely dirty and gross. Stains on the sheets, rust all over the place, pretty sure there was black mold in the window sills (see photos). I could see this hotel maybe being like $50/night but I certainly wouldn't pay that. It sure as hell was not worth $200/night that I was charged. Their "light show" was a hilarious letdown. My 9yr old literally said "that's it? " after it finished. Certainly not worth staying there for this "show. " The breakfast was a bag with a few of the cheapest possible things you could put in a paper bag and call food. Mini water, tiny cheap orange juice, a small breakfast bar, and cheap muffin. Basically the cheapest they could spend so they could advertise that they have breakfast included. It was so bad I took the 2nd one back to the lobby for someone else.

Ultimately this is quite a big let down. The least I'd expect from any hotel is a clean place to sleep and shower and they didn't even provide that. Would not stay here again purely for how dirty the room was.
