Pacific University has a great track that I enjoy running on. Just finished a virtual 5K, "Here comes Santa"with iFit there.

Two psychology professors are transphobic enough for Pacific to refund my tuition for their classes. After taking their classes, I joined the school’s EDI committee to try to build positive change. In my first meeting, my program head introduced me to the committee by questioning whether it was appropriate for me as a white person to be there.

At my end of program ceremony, it became obvious that I was expected to interact with one of the transphobic professors on stage. I left the ceremony and had a panic attack outside. My program head then emailed me to say that he thought my attempt to remove myself from a threatening situation seemed less like self care or self preservation than an act of racism. Both the transphobic professors and I are white.

Pacific University is not a safe place to be trans. My department head told me it’s like this to prepare me for the “real work. ”

I have been a patient with Pacific University for over 20 years. My Dr left 2 years ago and since then the service has been really bad. The front desk has been through allot of turnover, and the quality of care has dropped. I normally go to the optometry once year to get a checkup and lens order.in 2021 i went to the clinic 6 times, over a span of 7 months to get working lens. I worked with Pat Carrol and multiple Assistants and they couldn't figure out how to get m a contact lens that works. The previous lens i have been using is no longer available from Pacific. I finally had to ask for my copy of my prescription that worked in 2916, went to another clinic and was able to get a lens that worked. Pacific U did not want to order lens because they were trying to force me into a lens that was comfortable, but could i could see out of them.

NU has identified a list of workplace competencies and certificates to prepare students even more fully for the workplace. This initiative bridges the gap that so many employers see when new hires are not completely ready to enter the workforce after graduation

The noise level of Pacific University's athletic events is obscene. Inside my apartment, with all the doors and windows closed, announcer voice yelling through a loudspeaker and obnoxious music is constant. Working or studying anywhere within six blocks is impossible. A walk in the park? A phone conversation? Grilling on the weekend? Do it elsewhere. Oh, you live here? Must suck to be that poor.

I love the EyeClinic at Pacific University. Started receiving eye care there starting in the 1960's. Always feels professional and comfortable.

Great school and staff is so kind and helpful. I really appreciate that there is a lot of helpful people to be there for you so you never feel lost, or anytime you want to know anything about the school history, students, staff, and student body will help you understand that Pacific University is the place for a great education.

Went for a visit. Didn't expect much. We were pleasantly surprised. Nice campus and surrounding area.

Very professional teaching eye clinic. The student optometrist knew all the right questions to ask, was comfortable with the complicated optometry computer and made me feel at ease with the whole process. I definitely recommend this clinic.

It's a nice place to just lay back and take a look to the skies, just make sure you dont run into any dogs droppings. Theres no one to pick that up.

Pacific University is NOT an EOE. I interviewed with them and the HR lady grilled me and tried to make me feel bad for not having a degree. She made that the main focus of the interview. I will be reporting them to BOLI. She made it seem with no degree I would not get a job and that if I wanted to transfer departments I’d need a Bachelors.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in interviewing. The position I interviewed for strictly stated no degree required.
