Palmerton Park reviews
15Clean, nice trees that were posted with signs to identify them, so I could learn what they look like and what they are called. Nice park!
Beautiful trees of every type in this park. Redwoods, Sequoia and many others.great spot to stop on bike rides. (or starting from park)
Great place. So many beautiful trees! All around a nice place to picnic or have a child's birthday party.
Beautiful place. Not crowded at all, very peaceful. Several nice rocks at the creek side if ya like rocks. One of my favorite places
This is a great park. It looks small from the road but it’s quite large. The Evans Creek runs through it and you can cross over it on a cool bridge. Lots of trees and a playground for the wee ones!
I have been visiting this park since I was a kid and now I take my kids here. The swimming hole is nice just probably best to avoid in late summer.
Love this little arboretum off of Evans Creek Road. Fantastic picnic tables snd benches throughout the park. Small but fun looking playground with swings and a slide. The furry friends are most welcome on a leash
I love this park. I've loved it since I was a little kid and it's still just as beautiful (can't say that about any other park nearby). The number of trees and native plants, a nice and beautiful walkway with clean bathrooms is great. The bridge is safe to walk across-watch for railing slivers though. I love how they allow natural medicine to grow in the grass like clover and plantain. It's right along a great swim spot full of yummy blackberries. WARNING if picking blackberries across the water, be aware there are poisonous red nightshade berries mingled right in next to the edible blackberries so PLEASE watch your pets and kids and do not allow them to eat those ones. Hopefully someday they will replace those with other native edible bushes like thimbleberry, Indian plum and Oregon grape. That's just wishful thinking though There is a small park for kids to play on but beware, the plastic does get really hot in the sun. Enjoy this park to the fullest and please remember to leave it better than you found it. It's a gem!
I'd never been to this park, but loved the access to the water, watching the little fish and cray fish. Very quiet and serene.
I hate to not give this place a 5 star. This was my childhood park I've made so many memories in. It's an overall amazing park I'm just so saddened by the swings being taken out and the pond is gone. I'm hoping something good happens to it soon
The park is beautiful and so clean with everybody working together to keep it that way. We went on the 4th and had a great day grilling food and swimming. Did have to clean out the grill of dead coals, but that was no big deal. Be careful if you have elderly or people who have walking issues because the path down to the water is very steep and unsteady.
This is a great park in Rouge River. The park is clean, has lots of trees, playground, and the kicker is the Evens creek the kids (and adults) can play in. The creek is shallow enough for some great playtime for the kids. There is also a suspended bridge you can walk across to another small park. The park has restrooms as well. Great find on a hot summer day!
Love this place been coming here for years and there is so much history behind this park its so cool.
Awesome place to have events. It has a great playground and water park. Tennis courts are great and has great places to picnic.
Very nice. Peaceful. Has restrooms that are open and clean. If you need to poop and enjoy nature from other countries, Palmerton Park should be a stop on your route
