We just bought a John Deere mower from Pape Machinery in Gresham. It was a great experience. The sales staff and business manager were kind and easy to work with. They gave excellent customer service.
What a way to treat your employees Pape. Close down the Longview location with NO warning. Screwing everyone in the area with a John Deere, not to mention screwing over those employees. SHAME ON YOU
Use to be a good place to take your equipment for service. Pulled the old bait and switch. Told me the service would be around $800, called me an hour after dropping it off, price went to $1400, just service no repairs. Told them don’t touch it, I’ll pick it up. Returned the next day right after opening, decided to run an experiment. Pulled up with my trailer, walked over to my tractor, started it up (keys were in it), loaded it, all while taking my time and watching employees walk around the yard. Strapped it down and drove off, not a single person questioned me. So I guess if you want a free tractor, pull in, load it, and take off. Funny thing is, if they would have been straight with me from the beginning I probably would have paid the $1400.
Wonderful experience buying their new S130 John Deere riding mower with standard steel front bumper! As it was delivered, they picked up my late dad's LT-155 to be serviced with new belt and blades. Five stars.

Beware they are crooks! I called requesting my tractor be picked up for repair. The starter was not turning the engine; after reading numerous reviews it was reported the problem was the starters and the fix was a new starter. Tractor still under warranty so I asked Pape to replace the starter. Instead of doing what I asked they did service replaced 3 filters and 1 spark plug and charged me $420 plus pick up and delivery total charge $699 tractor is still not repaired. The tractor only had 12 hours on it. Alex promised he would install a new starter; $699 for 3 filters and 1 spark plug.
