Pham Dental Care, Portland OR

I had a really good experience with Dr. Pham. He is experienced. He has a natural air of assurance. He did my wisdom teeth and it went really well. I had mild concerns after my wisdom tooth extraction, and they got me in immediately to see what the problem was no charge. After examining me he told me what the problem was and what to do about it, and was spot on.

What a nightmare this dentist office was for me. First of all the person taking X-rays I don’t feel like they knew what they were doing. I lost track at 25 X-rays for a general checkup. As a patient with sensitive gums, I have had numbing gel put on my gums with my previous dentist which worked great during exams and cleanings. Dr Pham did not seem to know what this was when I inquired but instead came up with a liquid solution that he poked into my gums which was painful. He also shot some of it down my throat causing my throat to be numb where it felt like I couldn’t breath and I could not swallow. It was so upsetting and embarrassing to be choking and spitting everywhere trying to breathe and swallow. The anxiety of it all was through the roof. After the X-rays and checkup they put me with a hygienist that patronized me for not taking some anxiety medication before coming in and kept telling me that I brush my teeth wrong and use toothpaste incorrectly. This was just all too much and I was crying so hard when leaving. I had booked this dentist based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately my experience was terrible.

Dr Pham is a very good dentist. He listens to his patients and genuinely cares about them. You can trust that he does not do any unnecessary dental procedures. The dental hygienists are also wonderful. Lisa in the front office is very welcoming and knowledgeable. This is the best dentist that I have ever visited. I moved away from the area and still returned to this office. I highly recommend to anyone!

Dr pham is very kind and caring. Took time out of his busy life to help me with my teeth emergency in short notice (i called so many dental places and noone helped me). His care goes above and beyond for every patient. Thank you!
