Pho Hung / Phở Húng Restaurant reviews
28Amazing service, large portions, friendly staff, delicious food. Lovely restaurant. 10/10 would reccomend, and will return.
The pho is amazing. Service is quick, food is delicious, and the atmosphere is quiet. Very large portions as well! I always have extras enough for the next day.
Since 2014, this place has been my go-to every time I'm on the SE side. I brought a friend with me (first timer) and absolutely shocked him with the tripe, etc.in my phò but once he tried the broth he approved. Staff is great and the food.yum!
Love the place, love the food. But sometimes i get the feeling they don't like white folks lol. But i kinda like it, a little racism makes the experience feel super authentic
Went here after a long day. The food was amazing. I ordered the super bowl pho. I also ordered the lemon grass chicken to go for lunch the next day. And for two bucks more extra noodles for the left over broth. It's like gold! Customer service was an opportunity. It was not bad, just wasn't present.
Great overall experience and large portion sizes. I recommend indulging in one of their (only) 4$ bobo smoothies. The lichi makes a hilarious noise when you spitball it. 10/10 is so good I would eat here alone.
Went back to this restaurant after a very long time away. It was better than I remembered it! Nothing disappointing about this place. I'll be back soon!
Always a treat to eat here, best deal in town. I swear that pho is so good it would heal a broken bone. Side note, not recommended to break a bone and test this theory. It's just good warm comfort food with the best staff in Portland. Never disappointed.
Prices keep creeping up and portions keep creeping down but still THE original Pho place in PDX. A true nostalgia trip.
A reliably good place for Vietnamese fare. The banh xeo was not like I've had before but worth a try.
Meaty Hue noodle soup at less than $10. Beef and pork is very tender. Staff are nice and toilet is surprisingly clean.
Excellent soft and tasty tripe and tendon! Half Asian and can say that this pho is rich, beefy and legit! Also, order the tofu wrapped shrimp/fish cakes.yummmm!
It's changed since the last time there. I like the pho hung on 52nd and Powell way better. Worth the extra 10min drive.
The pork chop and shrimp rice plate was delicious. The portion was large. It comes with pickled veggies, fresh cucumber, and a little bowl of tasty broth. I has enough for two meals.
This is a good place to bring your family. The food is always fresh and service is good. We get a bubble tea to go after dinner and its perfect to share.
Great place to eat out greeted once entered and asked to be seated, quick service and wait is short, ordered food is freshly made hot and the pho super bowl is just delicious.
My Vietnamese wife of 20 years, unfortunately, had to work swing shift Friday on Chinese New Year. I decided to purchase a to-go order to surprise her at work. Unfortunately (I got the stupid white guy wont know any better,
to go order) We were unable to even finish the soup. And my wife loves Balut (look it up). Not the first time or probably the last time ill get the gym sock soup special. You would think I'd know better by now after all these years. My wife said ”you should have told them it was for me. Then it would have not been so bad”. Ah yes stupid me.
For 20 bucks on two bowls plus a nice fat tip.
It's safe to say I was a little upset.
Chuc mung nam moi!
Having traveled through Vietnam and lived in Portland exploring the best Pho I can honestly say this is the best! It is spot on authentic and delicious at a great price. You can ignore some of the negative reviews as some people don't want an authentic experience. If you are looking for a hipster place this isn't it, but there are a few spots on inner Division with that vibe (but not as tastey)!
Definitely the best savory broth available in the area, the service is always fast and the food is great for fighting of a cold
