The experience was a total delight. Great drinks, great atmosphere, great location. I stopped by for dinner and left stunned. The duck egg carbonara is incredible! The meat and cheese plate was awesome. I want to eat here as often as I can. And quite honestly can't wait til I'm there again.

I liked the food, service and the layout. Arrived and found one other table occupied. When they left we were the only guests.

Our delicious respite began with Piccone''s house Martini and fried olive stuffed with fennel sausage and an aioli dip. Our main courses, were the pasta Casarecce with fennel sausage, zucchinis and tomatoes, my friend had Radiatorre with pork, pancetta, chili and parmesan. Both yum! Finished with Espresso and a shared dessert of bread pudding, whipped cream berry compote called Budino Frito. Everything is fresh, homemade and served piping hot. The atmosphere is bright and inviting and our server was friendly with warm no rush style.

Had Piccones at a pop up at the Shaku bar and it made me want to go to the actual place. So we had brunch there today.

Delicious! Worth every cent. We all ordered different things - I had the steak and eggs. Best steak and eggs I’ve ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were favorites from all of us - cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the breakfast plate and they had a special with ribs so she went with it. So good.

Atmosphere was great, super friendly staff. Really nicely decorated space - you feel like you’re in a different country.

This is gonna be our new brunch spot. Great variety in food and good hangs.

Beautiful interior space, meat deli and wine shop, and an insane happy hour. The food is really great, you will be blown away by the delicious flavor. Their pasta sauce tastes like a great homemade sauce with high quality ingredients. You wont be able to eat a jarred sauce after! Sorry i have only a picture of a solitary fried, stuffed olive (which was so delicious) because i ate all the food too fast.

Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!

This Italian-American butcher shop & bistro just became one of our favorite places in Northeast! My wife and I first spotted it during an event held next door, and had resolved to check it out sometime soon. Having scoffed at a 90 minute wait for brunch at another restaurant, we remembered Piccone's Corner, and drove back across town to check it out.

We were seated immediately, and after wiping away the drool brought on by all the delicious meats in the cases up front, we attempted to whittle down the number of entrées and appetizers we wanted to try into a reasonable sized order for two people. We settled on splitting the Smoked Meat Plate appetizer, the Continental for my wife, and the Chopped Cheese sandwich for myself.

Amusingly, when we asked which three meats were available to select from for the appetizer plate, we were informed that the staff chooses from the day's selection. Normally, I prefer a bit more agency in my carnivorous choice-making, but in this case, we let the experts do their thing. We were not disappointed: pork belly ribs, dill-forward Italian sausage, and thin-sliced beef ("Like beef bacon", my wife observed), accompanied by pickled veg, crostini and two cheeses: a gorgonzola, and another I couldn't identify, but my taste buds didn't care what it was called - they just wanted more!

The Chopped Cheese was a welcome surprise! I wanted to go with the meatball sub or the grinder, two of my favorites, but I decided to branch out and try the sandwich with "Fancy sauce" this time. I don't regret it. Seasoned beef, onions, peppers, and what appears to be their take on a fry sauce was tangy and delicious. I would definitely order it again!

The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and wonderfully lit by the massive corner bay window, that allows enough light in to brighten the entire place naturally, even on an otherwise gloomy, overcast day, as was the case during our Sunday visit. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, and as mentioned before, they know what they're doing when it comes to picking out meats and cheeses for the day. The gorgonzola, for instance, was the personal favorite of our server, and it's not hard to see why.

My only nitpick would be that the Bloody Mary I'd ordered was a little on the watery side: heavier on the vodka and too light on the mix. That said, it was just the right type of spicy and piquant for me, so I'm not sure I would even change it, if given the choice. Quite the conundrum.

Piccone's Corner has done the impossible: not only did they deliver one of the best brunches we've had in years, but they've presented us with a butcher shop alternative to our perennial favorite, Gartner's. I didn't see that coming! I'll be back for some more of that sausage, as well as a chance to check out their dinner menu. If they can nail brunch this hard, I need to know what they can do with a ribeye. Or a New York strip. Or the pork chop. Or the lamb ragu. Or the.

Incredible sandwiches and excellent service! Definition coming back to try all of their sandwiches. We split an eggplant parm and a chopped cheese which was a ton of food and so good.

Lord almighty! After waiting literally years, I believe, for this place to open, I was delighted to discover that it’s gorgeous inside, and the food is off the chain.

I do not eat pork chops – hard, dry, and tasteless, in my experience. But I’d never had a pork chop like this. It’s divine!

Also, cannolis never impressed me. But THIS cannoli!

EDIT: Been back multiple times. The food is always delicious, no matter what you order.

The atmosphere is beautiful as well, which means a lot to me.

And as a friend said of their bread-pudding budino, which is officially one of my favorite desserts in all of Portland: “this is what a donut WANTS to be. ”

We were planning stuffed porkchops for a special dinner, and decided to try a new butcher shop. It turned out to be a great choice. The gentleman working behind the counter was friendly, well informed, and gave us a great lead on an additional sausage purchase (Luganega) that was delightful.
Checking the dine-in menu in the other half of Piccone's leaves me wanting to return sooner, rather than later. A butcher shop's meatball sub sounds like my ideal meal, though the pork parmesan might just be the first menu item I'll go for. We were told that the prepared food (and drink) side of the establishment is likely to be expanding their hours as social distancing requirements subside.

One of the most reliable rules of thumb that I've found is that if can sit down and eat in an establishment that has a butcher counter, you are going to have a good time. Piccone's Corner reinforced this sentiment, when we returned for a dine-in experience.
The restaurant portion of the space is sunny and modern and casual, making it a great spot for lunch.
As for the food, the bread was somewhat springier and less crispy, crust-wise than I expected, but it went perfectly with the fillings. The fried pork parmesan provided all the crispiness that I needed, and the bread worked like a champ to absorb the perfect amount of greasiness in the tomato sauce.
Piccone's is now among my top picks for sitting down for a sandwich.

Stopped by for the first time. Ordered a sandwich and plate togo. Sandwich and plate were delicious. Looking forward to trying their meats. Don’t be in a hurry though, took a while for our food to be prepared. Waitress said it did when they are busy. Just plan ahead. Would go back.

Late Dumpling Week review: Their fennel sausage dumpling was simply the best thing we had all night. (I even got one to go!) But just the whole vibe of the dining area was so relaxing, and the service was so good. I'm sorry that I live so far away or else this would be a weekly regular spot for me. Oh, and it's also a butcher shop to boot! (Which, sadly I can't comment on, because it was all put away when we were there. But I will be back!)

Delicious dinner in a quiet corner spot. Ordered a variety of side dishes and main plates to share. Everything was great. Good variety of food from meats, pastas and veggies.

Piccone's was a great dinner experience. This butcher shop becomes a meat-forward restaurant in the evening, complete with bar and hip decor. When we visited in March 2023 Piccone's was BYOB but my understanding is that was temporary change. In terms of food, the meat plate and olives for appetizers were spectacular. For main entrees, my steak was definitely good but I've had better elsewhere. The real highlight was the chopped cheese sandwich which was phenomenal. Highly recommend!

I've tried a few different counter products. Their Italian sausages (mild and spicy) as well as the breakfast sausage. Loved it. Very good quality. The flavor was very good. Great pork just smells different when you cook it, the nose don't lie. Looking forward to trying some pork chops and other cuts soon.

Tasty, unassuming place on Sandy Blvd. Great anchovy flavor in the Caesar salad. We had pasta, Carbonara and the Lamb Ragu and both were excellent and filling. The Budino is an unusual take on bread pudding and serves 3- delicious. Wait staff is very friendly and efficient. We’ll be back to try the subs- they look amazing!

Stopped in during Dumpling Week and tried their Fennel Sausage Raviolo as well as their meat plate and olives. The meat was tantalizingly juicy and the pasta sauce required me to restrain myself from licking the plate. Piccone’s Corner has quality meat and knows how to prepare it. Do not miss out on their pasta dishes.
