Went in to dine on Thursday and the person who gave us our food was so kind and so helpful I think his name was Diego.

We went here for our Anniversary, it was our first time ever. We started with a beet salad with honey infused ricotta, it was so good!
Then I had Maine lobster to die to! Fresh from the sea!
My husband had the New York steak cooked perfectly to a medium rare!
Everything was so perfect and our waiter was attentive!
The whole staff signed a card for us and impressed us with their kindness.
They even gave us bread pudding and s’more pie! So good! Thank you for making our Anniversary special!

The whole experience was excempllanary! The Steak and Lobster cooked to perfection!
The steak full of flavor and melted in your mouth! The Lobster Light, fluffy, sweet! The vegetables complemented the mashed potatoes, every single bite delicious, even the salad! The perfect amount and size of Bleu cheese crumbles that every bite was full of flavor. I have not had a meal or dining experience like this in 40 years! Old school dining perfection all around. Service, food, atmosphere! I actually cried! Seriously! It was all so wonderful! You'd think you were fine dining in NYC or LA! Competes with the top in the country! 5 STAR. It is truly fine dining a true Gem in medford oregon! I never would have thought! It is pricey, but it is also truly fine dining that one would expect the prices.

Porter's Restaurant in Medford is indeed a dining experience worth exploring. While it might lean towards the pricier side, the overall ambiance and quality of the food justify the cost.

The restaurant exudes a sense of sophistication, making it a perfect choice for a special occasion or a memorable night out. The fact that it's housed in the old train station adds an authentic and historical touch to the dining experience.

One of the standout features of Porter's is its friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure that patrons have an enjoyable visit. Their warm hospitality contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

And let's not forget the food – described as delicious – which is a crucial factor in any dining establishment. Porter's delivers on this front, making it a culinary destination in its own right.

In summary, Porter's Restaurant in Medford offers a fancy, slightly pricey dining experience with an authentic and historical backdrop. The combination of friendly staff and delicious cuisine makes it a place worth visiting, especially for those seeking an upscale and memorable dining experience.

We had the crab cake, clam chowder, tomahawk ribeye and a lemon strawberry tart. Everything is delicious.

Charming layout, classy feel, spacious parking.the ivy clad bricks and grounds made it evident who ever manages it has an eye for detail. Seating was a bit dated and could have used an update but it was aptly furnished and staffed. The open layout worked a bit to it's disadvantage due to the fact other parties in the restaurant were a bit loud. It was the standard wait time and courteous staff were attentive but not over the top. Proteins were marvelous and portion to dollar ratio was only offset in the negative due to the lack of additional items, butter, garnish.a sauce palate maybe. Though the meat and platables were prepared correctly there was no flair. It seemed the chef was phoning it in a bit.

Don't bother, they charge you $6 for a steak sauce, and they offered salad or clam chowder with the steak, but didn't even say they cost $7. For 2 $50 steak, we ended up paying $160. Not worth it. The steaks were bland, meat was meh, not bad, not great, not even showered with salt/pepper, so without sauce, just not edible. Best go to Daniels Broiler in Seattle. They don't charge you $6 for a steak sauce. Better quality meats

Porters is one of the best restaurants in medford. They're expensive but rightfully so. They consistently slam their food out of the park. Had the 10oz NY strip last night and it's some of the best I've ever eaten. Ordered the Korean BBQ wings for appetizer and a couple old fashioneds as well. Absolutely delicious.

Great 19$ burger+fries. And honestly it's a high dollar menu, but it's good. Nice service too. It's an old space. So it's not a club.

Our 1st experience here and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the history of this place. Had the Porterhouse steak, and it was fabulous. I found the side veggies to be a bit underwhelming as the flavors seemed to blend. Like the carrots had the same flavor as the green beans. The mashed potatoes were quite yummy. Had the seared scallops as an appetizer. The flavor was amazing and perfectly cooked. However, I'm a bit disappointed they only served 2 scallops about 2.25 inches across. And at $22, that's some pricey stuff. At a minimum, 3 pieces and 4 would have seemed more appropriate. I doubt I'll buy those again even though they were yummy. Also tried the Korean chicken, unless I had a bad batch, I would not recommend. Was dry and hard. However, flavor was good.

Best meal ive had in years. I had Medium rare rack of lamb to cooked and seasoned to perfection. The wife had a medium rare filet which was perfect as well. Even the veggies served with the entrees were out of this world.
Our server, Erin, was professional, kind and ensured we had a great experience.
The clam steamer appetizer is on point as well.

Go here. Best dinner in Medford.
Ordered 5 cocktails, an appetizer, and our 2 entrees to get a check total of 185 which I found reasonable and fair.

July 2023 update:
Met a friend in the bar and had a great meal with great service.

I consider myself to be a regular at Porters, so i can say that my experience last night was different than normal. We were seated quickly but waited much longer than normal for the server to come by and take our drink order. When the drinks came to us, my wife's order was fine, but mine was wrong. I chose not to say anything because I shouldn't have ordered a 32 oz beer before dinner (or whatever ridiculous size a 'schooner' is ;) ). We were enjoying our time together and then placed an appetizer order, seared scallops, for the first time. They arrived, but I was really disappointed in them. Although cooked perfectly, they were cold, and despite a strangely large amount of sauce, quite bland. This, combined with the fact that the server came back as we were just about to take our first bite, made the appetizer portion of our +$200 meal very disappointing. My wife ordered the halibut, and I got the special - a filet Oscar that sounded amazing! (I typically get the regular 8oz steak, but i never miss a chance to have oregon Dungeness crab). While we were waiting for our meals, our drinks ran out, and the server never came by. The food was delivered, but unfortunately, I was miss served again. Instead of the special, I was given the regular menu filet. Knowing that I always enjoy Porter's filet, and not wanting to eat after my wife (or have her eat a cold meal) I decided again not to say anything, however my wife had had enough and let the server know about the mistake. The plate was wisked away, and our server immediately came by to apologize for the mistake.all good, however, it took a strikingly long time for the correction to be made. So, as feared, my wife waited for me, and her beautiful halibut filet got cold. When my meal did finally arrive, it was likely the best steak I've ever had.so good! There was, however, nothing done to compensate us for the inconvenience beyond the apology. No discount, no free drink, not even a comped desert that we got 'to go. ' A rare occurrence at Porter's, but hopefully not an indication of service for future visits. Gotta love 1st world problems.

Please do keep that special on the menu though.again, SO GOOD!

Everyone seemed tense, like they were waiting for someone to complain. We got crab cakes and the crab cocktail, those were amazing! And the rack of lamb was really good. However the most expensive thing on the menu which was the wagyu filet mignon was what my fiancé ordered tasted like it had been put on the grill straight from the fridge. It was rare and had been over seared on the outside. We didn’t complain because the table in front of us complained about everything but that was a let down. I wanna go to a place where I feel like I can’t make it better at home and I could make a 12 dollar steak better than that $100 dish. Our bartender slash waiter was also not very personable, he did smile but when I asked him why his pours were sometimes less than the last drink he would get an attitude and not take it seriously. We ordered 8 drinks as we were celebrating our engagement. It was a fine experience but we just got engaged and we were excited to go there. We spent $378 plus an $80 tip, just kind of a let down to be honest.

I made a reservation for my parents for their 28th anniversary together. The staff did a wonderful job at making sure my parents had a good time. The food and staff were both wonderful and it was great to see my parents smiling afterwards. Thank you, Porter's, for helping me in achieving my goal in giving my parents a great anniversary evening!

It was our first time here and we loved it. It's such a calm atmosphere, my kids were less than calm haha. No one seemed to mind and they DO have a kids menu that's not pritned. The food was delicious! I had the halibut with the lemon blanc sauce 10/10
