Priscilla Nails Spa, Portland OR

I routinely get my nails done ever 2-3 weeks for the last 15 years. Moved to Portland 5 years ago and this is the absolute best nail spa in SW Portland! I highly recommend calling in to see if they have time. They are good about scheduling and if they have you in for a certain time you get work done right away without waiting. I won't go anywhere else. Dip is done properly with no shellac/uv top coat and they file the dip around the base of the nail so grow out is smooth and less noticeable, no icky residue left over or u even thickness. Everyone here is excellent and does the same steps with consistency. Lily does a great job on my nails all the time! Their foot soak are also great and come in a variety of packages. The basic soak is a good price and they have a really good deluxe package for a bit more with hot stones and paraffin wax, and a lot of scents to choose from for sugar scrub and lotion.

Everyone in the spa is utterly customer-focused and extremely competent; this includes Lily, who is extraordinarily knowledgeable and accommodating, and her skill with nails is truly something to behold. I have been to a great many mani/pedi places across the U. S.over my lifetime and it is also customary for me to get these spa services on my many travels, and I have never had a better experience or been better treated than with Lily at Priscilla Nails Spa! I honestly just experienced the best pedicure I’ve ever had…no exaggeration. I also went for the clean French look on my toenails, it’s a longtime favorite:) If you haven’t visited Priscilla Nails Spa give yourself a break and do so. The customer service was nothing shy of friendly and professional. Looking forward to my next appointment.

I have been a customer of Lily and Hugh for many years and have never been disappointed. They are a hard working couple who take great care of their customers. Besides keeping a very clean shop, they do excellent work and are kind, sweet people. Nina also does very good work. It is a pleasure to recommend Priscilla Nails on Barbur.

Didn’t enjoy the experience, not only were the nail techs not wearing gloves, the pedicure was extremely rushed and as soon as I got home I noticed most of the cuticle was not trimmed and side of nails not painted. It felt like a very sloppy and rushed job for $50, and there was an option for tip…no thank you.
Would not come again.

I had huge difficulty trying to work with Pricilla Nails to get my refund, and they guilt tripped me, wanted my license and a print out of that and the check they wrote out to me for my refund, took my photo to show other techs they knew so I couldn’t get services, and also told me to never come back. I was unhappy with my services, so I already made the decision to never come back.
Now, just because you’re a licensed tech, doesn’t mean you have proper knowledge about your job. I see this with doctors, malpractice happens. This is why you should definitely seek a good beauty technician and stick with them.
The reason why I leave my bad review, is because of the dispute that happened when I was unhappy and found out that Lily’s knowledge was wrong. If you cannot give knowledge to a customer, then maybe stick to only doing pedicures and not dealing with intensive chemicals that go into fake nails/gel/dip. She told me that gel and dip were the same thing, which ended up with my nails being very brittle, and she did a patchy job, and never pushed my cuticles back. I mean, they look good from afar, and I got a lot of compliments, but they looked grown out in a week because she didn’t do the first step: cuticles. At least give the option of letting your customers push their own back if you don’t want to make them bleed. I’ve researched, and dip stays on longer, doesn’t peel, and looks fresher if you do the cuticles.
If you ask other nail techs about the differences between dip and gel, there are huge differences, especially with fake nail tips, you need acrylic. The aftercare is very different, and both can affect your nail health in the end. If I had known more about how acrylic works, I wouldn’t have gotten it. I wish she would have given proper advice. All the nail techs said they were the same. And they all were very angry with me for trying to get justice. Here are photos from the day of my appointment.
Learn your profession, follow the steps and proper sanitation methods, and don’t be afraid to talk with your customers, learn how to be respectful to them. I will state, just because I have gotten my refund, doesn’t mean I am a happy customer. I am absolutely saddened by the treatment, the gaslighting, the manipulation, and just the overall name calling, interrupting, and poor treatment. My review will still stand, but with some edits. Reviews help the general population make wise decisions.

Nina, Lily and Hugh have been doing my nails for years. Their manicures are always beautifully done and for last a long time!

This is my go to nail salon! They do a great job, are super friendly, and my nails always last an extra long time! They are great for a walk-ins and when I’ve made appointments they are actually available at the scheduled time.

Nina did my fabulous pride nails today and Lilly took great care of my daughter matching her special design request.

I consistently get the best dipping manicures from Lily. Even though their salon is out of my way, I make a point to travel there to get my nails done. I got my eyebrows waxed there also and they looked very nice. Highly recommended.

Lily has done it again!:) Her skill speaks for itself! Todays sunflower set was exactly what I needed to brighten my day! The other photos, are some references to her beautiful work.

Lily takes pride in her work and it shows with her attention to detail, her knowledge and her passion. She is always happy to answer any questions I might have, and recommend what is best for my nails! She is friendly, genuine and cares about her clients!

Lily is absolutely amazing! In my years of getting French tips, lily by far is the pro in portland. Amazing attention to detail. I hope around getting my nails done but this is the first place I actually have gone back to, 3 times now. Professional, clean, skilled and great price!

Lily and Hu were very personable, welcoming me into the shop on my very first visit recently. The shop was clean, clean, clean and bright, with peaceful music playing in the background. I decided on a deluxe pedicure and was welcomed to sit in one of their very comfortable massaging recliner chairs - and let me say the chair gave me an excellent massage (better than most electric massage chairs). My feet and nails were prepped and clipped per my preference, followed by an exquisite hot paraffin foot treatment and unbelievable leg massage with hot stones, and then a foot massage. I am now a big fan of this shop, and encourage you to give them a try, too!

Hu did a wonderful job with my nails! I highly recommend this shop, they are courteous and professional. Plus, they take walk-ins.

Last week Wednesday I went to get my feet done for the first time. The service, pricing and energy of the place is great. I highly recommend to men and women to stop by there.
