I have so appreciated Dr. Mistry both for her skill in helping relieve my locking jaw (that I was dealing with for over a year) and for her genuine kindness to me. At each appointment, she listened attentively to my concerns and questions and convened only a sincere desire to bring me relief and jaw stability (of which she did both). I happily recommend her to those who need relief from TMJ pain and dysfunction.

Dr Mistry has really helped my TMJ. Through education and treatment, I feel that I have learned how to better care for myself and my body as a whole. As a client with a connective tissue disorder, I have appreciated Dr. Mistry's knowledge, experience and referrals. As a queer person, I appreciate that she treats me equally as well as every other client: I would highly recommend seeking treatment with Dr. Mistry if you suffer from TMJ or TMD!

Before Dr. Mistry, I thought I was going to experience my jaw popping and locking for the rest of my life. I started noticing jaw problems a year earlier, but didn’t think much of it. It got to the point where I had to pull my jaw back into place most mornings. After I got my appliances from them, my popping and locking drastically decreased after the first few days and had completely vanished after a couple months. I am forever grateful for Dr. Mistry and I could not have had a better experience.

After about two years of trying to seek treatment for my tmj from many other physicians and it going nowhere. I did a little research and heard great things about the TMJ doc, Dr. Mistry. After meeting with Dr Mistry I instantly felt comfortable with her, I felt that she truly cared about me and trying to help me with my painful TMJ issues that I have been essentially dealing with on my own. After a few weeks of regular treatments with her, something wasn’t sitting right in her mind about my case. She took a closer look at my images and realized it just wasn’t adding up. Dr Mistry called me and asked if it would be fine if she referred me to one of her colleagues to take a closer look at me because she was concerned that I did not actually have TMJ, and that something was wrong with the bone in my jaw, possible bone growth! She wanted me to be seen by a surgeon as soon as possible to rule out any malignant growth. After I met with the surgeon, he did confirm that I do have bone growth in my jaw bone joint and that’s what had been causing me terrible pain and a major shift in my face. I went through a pretty invasive surgery and all is well and normal now. I really do feel like I was guided on a path to meet Dr. Mistry specifically because if it had been like any of the other doctors I had seen before, ones that don’t really take a deep dive into what is going on in your body and just treating you as another patient of the day I would not have ever gotten to the bottom of this problem. Dr Mistry truly cares about her patients and their well-being. I will remember her for the rest of my life, helping me with this issue and her true care about me and sending me down the right road to healing.

My experience with Dr. Mistry has been remarkable. Before going to Dr. Mistry I had constant jaw pain, jaw aches and throbbing which resulted in agonizing headaches. I was referred to a TMJ specialist in 2020 when my pain was becoming intolerable. After my first appointment with Dr. Mistry I felt relief, relief that I was finally communicating with someone who understood the pain I was describing. Relief that I would sleep comfortably, go to school without a headache, pain free days, etc. I knew that this process would take time, patience and my full attention. I received my prescribed orthotic appliances a few months into seeing Mistry. I noticed it was hard to wear them at first, lots of discomfort and still experiencing throbbing which now included my teeth. Dr. Mistry wanted me to come in about every two weeks for therapy as a part of my treatment, but during this time I was living four hours away for school and wasn't able to go in for my regular appointments for my treatment to progress. I noticed a decline in my results and was experiencing jaw pain more frequently and my headaches were back on a regular basis. I then noticed a new pain! My right ear started to hurt, and my hearing became muffled. I had been wearing my prescribed nighttime but was lacking discipline to wear my daytime appliance. Feed up with my pain again and a new one developing, I knew I needed to start my treatment again.

Before going back to Dr. Mistry in March of this year, I felt the worst I had ever felt. I wasn't sure how my new experience would go and was worried I messed up my treatment and would need to start over. I was nervous to go back but excited to feel better. All my worry went away after my appointment, Dr. Mistry listen to me and took it all in. We talked over a plan and I would wear both appliances still and come in for my bi-weekly therapy appointment. I have been doing this since coming back in March and already have great results. My jaw pain is back down to minimal and headaches are rare. Ear pain is still under observation but has gone away completely after seeing Dr. Mistry and wearing my appliances. After my first therapy appointment I had gotten a headache that I hadn't experienced since before seeing Mistry in 2020 I told her about this headache at my next appointment and we have since adjusted my therapy and every time after that. She listens and acknowledges my perspective, she always offers great at home exercises, and is very real. The new office is welcoming, friendly, safe and has so much personality (I love the plants around the office that have personal names and a cute bio). The other employee's are amazing and super kind. I don't feel uncomfortable in her space and I know my well being is her priority. Dr. Priya Mistry is the kind of human I choose to see for my TMJ. The TMJ Doc I'd recommend to all.

Dr. Mistry and her team are wonderful! Dr. Mistry is kind, knowledgeable, and professional, she was able to help my TMJ symptoms tremendously. I have been dealing with jaw pain, headaches, and brain fog for so long and all my symptoms have improved greatly or completely gone with her treatment. I just wish I had gone to see her sooner!

I was hesitant about TMD work after coming from another doctor that I did not have success with. It turns out, he retired not long after I left his practice! I didn't want orthodontia as I'm getting married shortly but I did want to manage my pain and my clicking/popping. After working with Dr. Mistry and Dr. Peterson for a year my pain is completely gone. I still have popping but they made it clear throughout the entire process what could be expected and what next steps would need to be taken should this happen. Additionally, they were clear about what may or may not be worth the financial commitment. Lastly, they always asked how I was doing, outside of my jaw pain, they cared about my life and I always appreciate doctors who actually listen and care about my life. It makes me feel safe and welcome. Couldn't recommend Dr. Mistry and her associates more!

I have been receiving treatment for TMJD from The TMJ Doc for the past 6 months and I couldn't be happier with the results! After struggling with TMJD since the beginning of 2022 following Covid, I had almost given up hope of finding a solution but then I found Dr. Mistry and her team and they truly went above and beyond to help me.

From the very beginning, they were incredibly thorough and took the time to really listen to my concerns. They were always patient, kind, and had an excellent bedside manner. I have always felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire process.

What really sets Dr. Mistry and her team apart are the custom orthotic devices they made for me as well as the craniosacral therapy they offer at each follow-up appt. Each device acts as a sling for my jaw, which helps it to rest, alleviating the pain and discomfort associated with TMJD. The devices and treatment have made a world of difference and I'm so grateful for Dr. Mistry’s and Jan’s expertise and attention to detail.

Overall, I can't recommend Dr. Mistry and her team enough!

Dr. Mistry and her team are amazing. I came in with pain and very limited mobility to my jaw and was diagnosed with lock jaw syndrome, and am so happy to say that I have full mobility back and no more pain! Dr. Mistry and her staff are kind, caring, and compassionate and made me feel comforted and supported throughout the whole process. Truly the best medical experience I have ever had. Dr. Mistry and her team have been amazing since day one! I have been struggling with jaw related issues for almost 10 years. During this time I had received treatment at other facilities that did not help. I have been a patient of Dr. Mistry since January and began seeing major improvements to my jaw pain and mobility issues within weeks of starting my treatment plan. I was beginning to suffer from hearing problems related to clenching my jaw before coming to Dr. Mistry. Since having my treatment retainer, these issues have gone away completely which has drastically improved my quality of life.

Dr. Mistry has been wonderful to work with. She came highly recommended by my myofunctional therapist as well as a tmj pt I saw. I had already had two tmj consults with other offices (both of which charged more than she did for a consult) before I went to Dr. Mistry. The other offices were talking about extensive work that would cost a lot of money and time, one even telling me I may need jaw surgery. I was relieved and comforted when I went to Dr. Mistry and she was confident she could help without all of the extensive work others wanted me to do. My nightguard is comfortable and going in for adjustments to my guard and fascia release has been very helpful. I found hope with the tmj doc and hope that the benefits I’ve felt so far last a lifetime! Highly recommend!

Dr Mistry is wonderful to work with and so knowledgeable about TMJ! She is incredibly nice and makes you feel seen, heard, & valued. Her entire staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Over 4 years post car accident, my TMJ has finally been improving thanks to Dr Mistry’s help. I no longer have migraines, my daily headache pain level is improving, I can eat chewy foods again like steak, I have full jaw range of motion now, and no more jaw pain!

I've had the very best experience with Dr. Mistry and her entire staff at The TMJ Doc. I came in experiencing daily, life altering pain in my jaw, mouth, head, neck and ear. I was literally in tears when I arrived for my consult, in fear of missing the appointment and this chance to start feeling better. Since walking into the office, everyone there made me feel so comfortable and cared for. Their individual treatment plans are customized to you and your level of pain/problem, and there's transparency throughout your treatment about what the next step is. My experience with Dr. Mistry has been nothing short of amazing! I've had Tmj for about 10 years and i was under so much pain before i finally found Dr. Mistry! She's so amazing, respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly! She has never once rushed an appointment and has always taken her time with my therapy. Once you really get to know her you can tell that she's not like any other dentist! She really takes the time to educate people about this condition which people don't tend to talk about enough. What other dentist is willing to post free content on Youtube in order to help you live a pain free life! I use to worry about driving 1 hour for my appointments which seemed like so long before but now seem so short. After about 10 months i'm almost done with my treatment and i'm almost pain free! I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend Dr Mistry and her amazing staff!

This was a waste of my time and $$. She has a one-size-fits-all treatment, when i questioned whether the treatment was right for me, she told me we were done. She was so immature and unprofessional, why wouldn't she want to allay my fears and smooth things out when I was questioning things? Instead she reacted like a teenager and said we are done and ask for the orthotics back that she had made. You could tell she was super offended and said anybody that question her integrity she didn't want to work with. Wow. I wonder about all those other reviews she has because I just don't believe they are real. I will say she's good at marketing.
I have no idea what you are talking about when you say I was complaining, I asked a few questions, I was just trying to understand the treatment you were offering.and I only saw you a few times, I feel like maybe three or four visits? And I found you through googling TMJ specialist in my area. Nothing unheard of.
After thinking about this for several months now, i felt it wouldn't be right to not tell my experience here. I feel that others should know. I simply expressed how my time with you was. And i will always question everything! Good luck to all who walk thru your doors!
