I was seeing a doctor here for months with no issues. The last visit they billed my appointment twice, with two different cpt codes. When I called them to ask why, they gave me the old "dunno, talk to your insurance" my insurance called and now they're reviewing the bill. I'm never coming back for anything, I've had so many billing problems.

I had to go to Providence for bloodwork, as my usual office had closed it's lab. I was BLOWN away by how kind and warm the entire staff was! From check-in, to the actual blood draw, every single person was just sweet as can be! I have experienced a lot of not-so-fun times at various hospitals in my life, and this was just the best experience ever. Thanks, Providence!

Don’t call they won’t answer the phone and if they do the emergency Karen’s will hang up on you if you ask a question. Worst experience ever.

My mom seems to really love this place (she's old). I had a pretty good experience with the emergency room doctor. Before releasing my mother he called me at a local pizza place and spent 15 minutes on the phone explaining her care. I've never had that with any emergency room doctor so I give him a thumbs up for sure.it must have been a really slow day cuz she was in and out in less than an hour.

I'm so thankful for Dr. Pippa Newell. She saw me in the emergency room at Providence Hood River when I arrived with the pain of a bowel obstruction. My situation was further complicated by a large tumor in my abdomen that was dead after successful cancer treatment, but was needing to be removed. Other surgeons had refused to do the surgery and I was actively seeking another opinion.

Dr. Newell warned me that such a surgery was indeed very risky and that losing half my bowels and ending up with a colostomy for the rest of my life might actually be a very good outcome. I was disappointed to hear this, of course. There was still a question of whether the dead tumor still had a significant blood supply, and Dr. Newell suggested I be transferred to Providence Portland hospital since, "there isn't enough blood in the Gorge to help you" if indeed removing the tumor caused me to bleed too much.

I feel that it was God's plan for me to see Dr. Newell since she had connections with excellent surgeons in Portland. The major surgery was completely successful. I ended up only needing one unit of blood because the tumor in fact didn't have a blood supply. Pathology tests showed no cancer remaining anywhere.

Thank you, Dr. Newell for your compassion and for sending me to a team that could help me!

Would like to Thank The ER for the service I received here on Friday! From Dr. Sova was the best. Thanks again. Mrs. Pushman

Way too many old pale men around here who need to "retire" from life. It's time to make room for women and ethnic champions to lead the hospital in all areas.

On Thursday, April 15 I had a upper GI Endoscopy performed by Dr. Wiseman and the team of nurses that took care of me. From the time I was admitted, to being prepared for the procedure and recovery, I can't praise the team highly enough.
Robin, Meg, Katy, Duane, Dr. Wiseman and I can't recall the anthologist name are worth of 10 stars!
Thank you all for being a wonderful group of professionals who really made my stay as easy as anyone could wish for.

Took my sister to ER last night. She was in lot of pain after her surgery she had three days ago. Nurse took all the details and left the room. Waited 40mins for the doctor, told nurse, her pain was getting really intense, can she get some pain meds if it's going to be long. Her response, No, doctor will be there when he can. She didn't even bother to check on the patient. My sister couldn't wait any longer, she decided to leave, came home and took the paint meds. Very unpleasant experience.

I went into the ER two separate times for help with trying to figure out what was going on with my daughter… Both times they told me that she would be fine and it’s just a virus. Nurse Paula accused me of lying about her symptoms because she “looked fine”. They also told me they found nothing odd or off in her blood which we later found out was a lie. All around a bad experience.
I went over to skyline in white salmon and they listened to my concerns and discovered that she had a tumor and then sent us to Portland where we found out that she has T-cell Leukemia. If Hood River would have taken the time to check her out and listen to my concerns she could’ve been treated over a month ago, and for that reason alone I will never ever be going back or recommend them.

The staff in the front always greet me and are always smiling the back staff are always quick and efficient.  Words can not describe how much I appreciate this office.  The physicians are amazing also but without good staff then you don't have great physicians.

I can't say enough about my hospital stay and surgery at Providence Hood River. First, I was told that I won the lottery because I had my surgery performed by Dr Newell who is world renowned in liver and gall bladder care- They did not lie, she never even used one stitch or staple and I needed no antibiotics, yet it was no a minor surgery, the doctor warned me. Simply amazing surgeon. The nurses and staff treated me with utmost respect at all times. I had a selfish desire for Dr Pepper - they had none - but somehow a can was always at my bedside. I found out later that they went out and bought Dr Pepper just for me. All this during the pandemic! All this makes me want to become a practicing catholic again.

I spent close to 4 hours in the ER today. The nurse that was supposed to be taking care of me pretty much ignored me I was stuck in a bed with an iv and heart monitor and nothing to call for help when I needed it All I heard was laughing and talking around the nurses station. I thought about using my cell phone to call ER so they could send my nurse in to help me. Instead a elderly lady walked into my room by mistake and I asked her if she could please let them know I needed help. Not once did the nurse offer me water or food. When I spoke to her about the neglect she got really snotty with me. As she walked out of my room she says well thanks for your opinion. This hospital is a joke.

I had total knee replacement on Nov. 18,2019. When I first woke up from the surgery, I was literally screaming in pain! I had no pain control at all. I have had 5 surgeries before this, and I have never experienced any pain like it. I believe this is the fault of the anesthesiologist. Furthermore, I was given nothing to eat, not even broth for over 30 hours. I left the hospital the next afternoon, because I felt I wouldn't get the help that I needed there. I will never willingly go back to this hospital. My experience was nightmarish!

My youngest son was born there in 1986 wow how time flies. I received really good care back then, I moved out of the area in 1991 and sure there have been many many more babies born there:)
