Wonderful neighborhood diner plus a mini minimart. Breakfast burrito and polenta sandwich was great plus excellent fries! Friendly service! A must visit.

Kool spot to enjoy some rays, good food, and a drink. We had the pleasure of listening to Sweet Sam Kisling who played the acoustic to the tune of blues and country. Drop in and enjoy the environment and do yourself a favor, be there when Sweet Sam Kisling is playing!

Can't wait to come back here! The chimichurri sandwich was amazing, and so was the iced oat chai! The staff was friendly and the market was nice too!

Savory and inventive dishes that will make you want to come back for more. Friendly service in an airy and comfortable dining room and a large backyard outdoor eating area. Love this place.

Favorite breakfast place at the moment. It one is the few places breakfast spots that feels it takes advantage of Oregon’s bounty while being affordable!

My roommate just grabbed us food from
p n q’s, I opted for the smoked salmon salad. It’s an $18 salad, which fine because it has salmon, goat cheese, grilled zucchini. I open the box and the size is laughable, it’s not even a full size to go box and it’s filled halfway, arugula isn’t expensive so I’m sorta surprised that it’s a not full salad. Zucchini is undercooked, I’d say “grilled” as the menu description is inaccurate, doesn’t have grill marks, it’s still crunchy. Hardly any goat cheese. I never write reviews but I was starving, stoked to eat, trying to choose a healthy option and I open up a box that is the smallest portion I’ve ever seen for the price and it’s not even made well.: (

Just a bummer overall.

Hash bowl was quite nice the apples were a pleasant surprise. The polenta sandwich was okay, we had not had polenta before and I guess we just weren't sure what to expect. Just not enough texture between the bun and the polenta. It made it all very soft and a mushy bite. The peanut butter chocolate dessert was delicious! Eggs were also nicely touched with a nice bite of mustard flavor.

Great spot for dinner and a drink. Quiet, great food, and reasonably prices. I got the Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich and it was absolutely delicious!

I love that you can buy a bottle of champagne and open it at the table. The food is great. The market has DUKE'S MAYO, so completely legit variety. Staff is extremely friendly. I am so bummed I missed the cinnamon rolls. Apparently that's a tall order 1pm on a Sunday. Need to be earlier.

Love this neighborhood place for outdoor seating and food. Service lacking however. Arguing with me that the item that I was trying to order was on their app when it wasn’t it’s not great. And literally no one here and it was so slow. Food and drinks were great though. Maybe it was just an off day. I will come back to support local

Looooove this place. Those vegan cheesecakes babies are so yummy and their selection of sour beers makes my hipster heart so very happy.

Really wanted to love this spot — but after ordering food for pick-up several times, the food has never been ready at the time, or close to the time, they say it will be.

I understand the estimate being off a bit, but when I consistently arrive at my pick-up time and have to wait 10-15 minutes each time, you’re wasting my time! And not dependable! Fix your system.

It’s almost like they don’t start making the food until I arrive. Hate to do so, but I’ll avoid P’s and Q’s.

How can I give this place more stars? One of my top fav PDX places to eat with friends, have biz meetings and get carryout. The improvements to the physical location and menu are noticeably amazing! The back patio is one of the best in the city, the menu makes me drool and the music & staff are always on point! Grateful for this place being every single day too. I can’t get enough!

Fantastic place to eat and enjoy a meal. My companion and I had a mouth watering sandwich that I ate every bit of. They also had an tasty pound cake on the counter. Plus great service and atmosphere.

I used to love this place, but i guess i just have to come to terms that nowdays its more of a restaurant focus than grocery.selection is pretty abysmal.ice cream, snacks, a couple different types of candy, random selection of soda & none of the sodas you’d actually look for… and wine.all these types of food are brands or random flavors most people dont actually want or look for.im honestly confused by this store at this point.maybe its supposed to be like counter culture to big chain stores, but not done fully right in my opinion.this is the closest store of its kind to my house & i wish it wasnt because it 80% of the time doesnt have what im looking for.the banner in front even says ‘fruit & veggies, milk & cheese’ of which they have none.the saving grace of this place are the patio, actual restaurant food, cute design, and kind and personable employees.the service is a little slow sometimes though.i just wish this place wasnt advertised as a market/grocer, because it pretty much isnt anymore.

Wonderful neighborhood store with great food and nice people. Seating inside and in the back outside. Love the deviled eggs, and grilled cheese. Everything I've ordered there was delicious.

Like a couple of recent reviewers, I’ve been a long-time fan of P’s & Q’s. For years, brunch was a weekly ritual with my housemates until COVID hit; even then, we kept going for take-out when possible. Their brunch and sandwiches were just always a hit. Their breakfast burrito was one of our favorites in the city. I also loved their biscuits and tomato gravy (something I rarely see anywhere else), their classic bacon and brisket hash, and thin, crispy fries. Not to mention they had some of the thickest cuts of bacon I’ve ever seen. The market side of the business was always hit-or-miss; they had what felt like a very random assortment of some staples and some specialty items, with other staples bafflingly missing. I gave up trying to shop there early on, but as a deli and brunch spot, they were superb, which is why writing this review is so painful.

Unfortunately, as mentioned, P’s & Q’s was recently sold to new owners. The previous owners mentioned that they sold to a couple of folks who had “enthusiasm for keeping P’s & Q’s going just as you’ve loved it and making it even better. ” That last bit scared me somewhat (“better” is subjective) but I maintained hope that the other half of that sentiment meant they would at least leave the classics alone.

The breakfast burritos have lost what made them so special and are generally just a lot less flavorful. The slaw is different and there’s much less of it (though somehow the burrito has managed to be wetter than before), replaced with too much cheese and sour cream. The fries used to stay a little crispy in the burrito, but because of how wet it now is, they’re just soggy potatoes.

The stellar tomato gravy is gone, replaced by the much more common country sausage gravy. The bacon is now your standard ultra-thin, subpar strip. The brisket is as dry and overcooked as it’s ever been. The fun, rotating, nightly specials are gone, as are the days where the owners would actually post their specials on instagram so you could have a peek before you went in. They post maybe once a week now, just to remind people they’re open.

Long story short, P’s & Q’s has lost much of what made them special. The food isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s also not great anymore, and there are fewer good options. I waited several months to write this, to give the new owners a chance to find their footing… But it seems clear now that those early changes were purposeful and are here to stay, likely with more on the horizon.
