Should be zero stars. Horrible cut, agressive personality, rough treatment. I told him I wanted it trimmed but not to take off much length as I was growing it out. He did not wet my hair or comb it to start, I had been wearing a hat all day. Figured he was just getting started by trimming up some ends so I didn't say anything. He spent about 5 min jamming his scissor in and out of my hair, hitting my head (there was a small amount of blood) and then said he was done. I looked at it in the mirror and asked if he could at least even it out front to back so it didn't look like a mullet. He let out a big exaggerated sigh and went back to jamming his scissors in and out of hair for 5 more min. I looked at it again and told him it looked really bad. At that point he told me I should go somewhere else to get it cut then. I said okay and got up to leave. He then demanded that I pay him or he was going to call the cops. When I asked him what I was paying for he pointed to the hair on the ground. I told him he could finish the haircut if he wanted me to pay but he said he didn't want to cut my hair anymore because I was too crazy. He kept telling me to pay him or he was going to call the police. I continued to ask him to finish the haircut but he refused. Finally he said to pay him half because he didn't want to deal with people like me. When I asked him what that meant, he said I was crazy and talked too much and should just show the barber a picture of what haircut I want and not describe it. In the end I gave him $15 for a mullet that looked like a random person gave me because he kept threatening to call the police and I wasn't going to sit there and deal with that. I would avoid this shop at all costs

Took my son here for a haircut. Did a decent job but was really expensive and only took cash, so I had to go to the ATM at the laundromat next door which charged me more money to withdraw cash. Don’t think I will go back.

Sloppy work and rushes way too fast especially for the high price. Gave him the benefit of the doubt but kept getting sloppy haircuts. I get a quality cut two blocks away for $8 cheaper now.

Absolutely horrible. Probably the worst barber in the world. He doesn’t care about you or your hair. Probably doesn’t even enjoy being a barber. The story is, I go in desperately needing a hair cut as everywhere else is busy. I went to barber shop after barber shop and they were all reservations only or completely full. I go into his run down shop and sit down. I start telling him exactly what I want and he cuts me off and says I can only choose 1 of 6 options on his wall out of 10 on display. I pick #5 and when he starts he is so AGGRESSIVE! He pulled my hair constantly hit my head with the trimmers like he was using a WEED WHACKER. And even cut my ear. By the time I was done my hair looks nothing like the picture. It’s un-even and story made short. I paid $30 for nothing because the only way it can look good is by getting a buzz cut. He charges more than anyone I’ve ever seen. Maybe he thinks this is a lawn care business…

This is an old fashioned barber shop. Really quick. Great for basic haircuts. If you are looking for something fancy, this might not be the place for you. Good prices, no appointment needed. (Can't believe the reviews complaining about prices in the $20-30 range. Have you not had a haircut in a while? Some places are charging $70.)

BEST PLACE IN NEWPORT! Great haircut every time. Nice and Friendly barber. Today was my 5th haircut and yet again he did a great job. My favorite part is that he makes it easy on you and stress free.

It was a bit high priced at $20 then it went to $25 and now it's $29 for a basic so-so haircut. I would avoid.

Horrible haircut, uneven, sloppy and he is very rough. Even pulled some of my hair out. Also stuck his brush in my eye when he was brushing the hair off my face. Will not be going back.

30 for 2 kid cuts that he cut how he wanted even though we asked for them to be done different. CASH ONLY

Why did the scarecrow get an award? He was outstanding in his field. This guy is not a scarecrow, and while he could easily beat one in a race, your head will end up looking like he spent more time bush wacking the field than racing the (stationary) scarecrow. Granted, the scarecrow cannot move, he could probably give a better fade than this jabroni. I believe he means well, but do not for any reason let him cut your hair.

When I got there, the doors were locked during business hours. I had to call the Malaysian man and he came after 5min of waiting. I asked for a 0.5 mid fade, line-up, and split ends to be cut. I wound up with a 0.5 undercut (with a line-up). I asked him to fade it but he did a poor job (see photo) ; I should’ve kept the undercut. After that tragedy, I told him he doesn’t need to cut my split ends in feat of my haircut being worse. His equipment failed halfway through. Speaking of equipment, he cut my hair like he’s mowing a yard- rough and rowdy. The worse part is that he charges $26 and only takes Zelle and check, which is odd. I’m never coming back here again.

They won't let me give 0 stars, so, one star. I tried 3 different times to get a haircut there. There was never anyone there. The last time, the door was unlocked and the open sign was on. I waited inside for about 30 minutes to no avail. If you don't want to cut hair, either hire someone else or close your doors. Will definitely NOT recommend.

Good cut, but $22 for a senior haircut was way out of line. I won't return. Disgusting!

Super fast hair cuts was in and out in about 5 min. That includes waiting for the guy in front of me. Did a good job too!
