Raleighwood Wetlands Natural Area reviews
4Nice little untouched wetland full of birds. Very close to Portland, but can be a little hard to get to.
Nice local wetlands. Lots of natives but also invasives and a fair amount of trash. We've seen beaver sign and nutria.
Definitely not a park. It is, however, a beautiful nature preserve, and these spaces are important. I brought a picnic and had the most delightful lunch in a long time while birdwatching. Saw many ducks, jays, a heron, and my first live belted kingfisher spotting!
One note: if you come to enjoy this amazing space, please be respectful! I was saddened by the amount of trash I saw (and yes, I picked it up). Appreciate nature, and leave no trace ;)
This is not a park. It's a natural wetlands area. I haven't actually been down in there, but I walk by the sign all of the time and I'm glad it's there.
